The Mount, 2 ensuite double rooms by The Royal William Yard

New build constructed in 2019. The 2-bed annex is on the ground floor with its own private entrance. There are two large bedrooms both en-suite. one has a 5 ft double bed and the other has two 3 ft single beds. There is a small separate kitchenette within the hallway. The kitchenette (not a kitchen) includes microwave, larda fridge, toaster, kettle, coffee machine, soup maker, omelette maker, china, cutlery, utensils and a sink. There is underfloor heating with settings in every room. There is also an air exchange system for fresh clean air entering the rooms at the same temperature of the old air that leaves through a different vent. The digs are accessed up a private drive with electric gates with private parking at no extra charge. The Mount is a one minute stroll to the very popular Royal William Yard with restaurants, bars and a small ferry to The Barbican. There is also a walk-on ferry (a two minute stroll) which goes across the River Tamar to Cornwall with lovely walks and Cornish villages and pubs.

Absolutely Perfect

We was very impressed with our stay, the property was perfect for us as a family of 4. Lovely spacious bedrooms with very comfy beds& 2 bathrooms. The place was spotless & had everything we needed. Very peaceful with parking& the host was very helpful. kids loved the table tennis. Location was amazing with private access to the royal William yard. Stunning rocky beach a few minutes walk away. We will definitely recommend to others & be back again one day

Great place to explore Plymouth

Lovely rooms conveniently located for Royal William Yard, ferries to Mount Edgecombe, Cornwall, and the Barbican, buses to city, and a short walk to The Hoe. Close to swimming and paddle boarding beach and coastal walks, cycle paths.

Best stay in Plymouth, great value for money.

A lovely, cosy accomadition with everything there, Great hosts on hand if required and set in outstanding grounds a real idlic location to stay. Minutes from Royal William yard with great transport links of boats, buses and taxis is available. Would highly recommend to all that visit Plymouth and definitely will be staying again.

A beautiful home with all the creature comforts, very close to the beach front and harbour. Amazing views all round with exquisite cuisine located on the doorstep, super friendly area with easy access to the local town centre by car or by a short boat ride. The owner was amazing and very welcoming to our family, we had the best time in a long time away from home, their home felt like our home for the entire stay!

Plymouth get away

Great hosts, perfect location for us. We chose The Mount as we wanted to be close to Millbay and the Hoe for the sailing and also near to restaurants for eating out, we didn't intend doing our own cooking, so the kitchenette was fine for us. With Royal William Yard on the doorstep there is no shortage of places to eat, the added bonus is that Cornwall is only a few minutes boat trip away too. We had a great stay, thank you.

A very pleasant day

The accommodation was absolutely lovely, but, it is very small, absolutely great as a base for visiting local area. There are two spacious bedrooms and a table with two dining chairs big enough to accommodate two people and a very small sofa. The only thing we missed was a separate room where we could sit down together. But, the accommodation was exactly as it was described. I would highly recommend this venue and the host. .

Mount stone cottage.

Had a great Fantastic stay. Joanna and Andrew are Great hosts, Joanna gave us an upgrade when we got there. The cottage was lovely, quiet and secluded. 2 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, kitchen, front room with a bar, dinning room and a lovely courtyard. Set near to the Royal William Yard. Great Views, great food, Just a great place to be. Thank you Joanna and Andrew.

Couldn't be better

We were wowed by this property from the moment we jumped out of the car and trod the path to the door. This was better than any 5* hotel we've stayed in and the host was just wonderful. We were in a full five minutes before deciding we would like to return to the same accommodation before very long.

Oh my days

I would definitely recommend this property to anyone wanting to stay in Plymouth. It's setting is just right, you can tell the property owners love their house and rightly so. Joanne and Andrew are lovely people who care that you have a lovely time there. The property is close enough where you can travel to Cornwall for a day out. Wonderful stay at The Mount

This property was perfect for everything Ineeded..immaculately clean, modern, quiet.. beautifully furnished and supplied with everything in the kitchenette .I even made small cooked meals as there’s microwave a china cutlery etc provided plus welcome tray with cereal tea cookies etc.So close to Royal William yard with fantastic choice of restaurants.. ferries to Cornwall The Barbican and great bus to Plymouth city the bus stop is close by….Definitely recommend and plan to return.Joanna’s a wonderful helpful host she even did my laundry! LOVE this property!!!!

Fabulous place

We stayed from Wednesday to Sunday and arrived late-ish Wednesday. Spoke to Joanna on Thursday morning and can't thank her enough for such good communication and friendliness. Accommodation is excellent with all that you need to hand and more. The location is amazing. We went on a ferry/bus/ferry ride on the advice of Joanna and it was AWESOME and I must point out that the Bus part of this journey was an extreme treat, you must try it ;-) Thanks again to lovely Joanna, our stay was absolutely wonderful :-)

The Studio - the best ever

A well appointed and very tastefully furnished spacious holiday appartment, clean and tidy, in a secluded quiet area. The beds are the most comfortable ones we've ever had in holiday homes. State of the art ensuite bathrooms with walk-in showers, the little kitchen is equipped with everything you need for breakfast and lunch. Nice little chairs and tables to relax with a coffee. Good wifi, safe parking in front of the appartment as the ground is secured by electric gates. But on the other hand an only 2 minute pleasant walk to have a dip in the sea before breakfast. The Royal William Yard with its loads of restaurants and bars is also just 2 minutes away and if you want to go to Cornwall, it is a 5 minute walk to the Cremyl ferry and you go ashore 10 minutes later - a superb location. And - not to forget - the fantastic hosts who give you a very warm welcome and make you feel at home - thank you so much Joanna and Andrew !

Swimming with Seals

We had a great few days around the area with myself and my teenage kids with visits to the Barbican, Royal William Yard and forays over the Tamer into Cornwall on the passenger ferry to Cremyll and Mount Edgcumbe Country Park, and on the nearby car ferry to Torpoint with then a short drive to the fishing village of Looe and the stunning Whitsand Bay. The property offers two lovely ensuite double rooms and a small kitchenette area. 200m from the Property is a popular open water swimming area and while I was floundering about a Seal popped his head out of the water about 2m from me. We arrived on the first day after restrictions from Covid19 had been lifted and were able to enjoy our week while maintaining social distancing. The property is attached to part of the owners beautiful modern house and Joanna made us feel very welcome and quickly resolved a couple of minor issues we had.

Family Holiday

We’ve just returned from a lovely week staying at The Mount. The property had plenty of space for our family of four and bonus that each room has its own en-suite with fantastic showers and lots of space for two teenage girls to get ready. The accommodation was very clean and the small kitchen area was perfect for breakfast and snacks with every utensil you’d need and an ample size fridge. Although there is no sitting room the bedrooms are large and we managed to sit around the dining table for breakfast and games in the evening. Lots to do in the area and the proximity to Royal William Yard meant we tried every restaurant available and with only a short walk through private drive we felt really spoiled. Great to have parking for free and within a secure drive meant no concerns going out for the day. Joanna was lovely from original booking to our stay and gave us ideas of places to visit and just generally wanted us to have a fantastic holiday and enjoy our stay. I wouldn’t hesitate to stay here again and definitely will recommend to others. I can’t fault accommodation or our hosts in any way.
