The property was in a fantastic location with Whitby, York and Scarborough all within reasonable driving distance. House itself was clean enough and great for what was needed. Kitchen was well stocked with utensils and crockery. There was also information for things to do if you didn’t have a plan. Could do with a little refresh as some areas were a little neglected (bathroom mainly).

Desperately in need of some refurb
Firstly the pictures used for the advert are very much out of date. I have been in touch with the owner to let him know our concerns. The house is in a great area for the centre of Pickering and a few shops within a few minutes walk so ideal. Firstly we struggled to get into the property as the lock was a bit temperamental. Kitchen is well equipped and has everything youd need. Both bedrooms are also fine with comfy beds. One fan was provided which was needed with the hot weather. Downstairs is fairly cool due to mostly being in shade. The living and the bathroom need lots of work. Stained carpets, stained sofa, bathroom was very dirty, thick dust on skirting boards, mould abd rubber hanging off the shower screen, shower curtain across the window instead of a blind? There was a bath mat in the bath for the overbath shower but my husband wanted a bath so took it out and it clearly hadnt been cleaned underneath it for a long time as it was thick with black mould. All in all not a very pleasant stay.
Heerlijk verblijf gehad met twee kinderen (6 en 3). Speeltuin naast de deur. Huisje was mooi en heerlijk rustig. Pickering centrum is op 5 minuten lopen en York, Whitby en Scarborough op 40 minuten rijden.
