Location right on the water, with great views from the balcony, was beautifuk and peaceful. Enjoyed the hyge breakfast buffet every morning and the on-site activities. Very comfy bed.

Stylish stay with great amenities but Slight wait

The place was clean and luxurious. The room was in great condition, and the staff were friendly and professional. I really liked the food at the restaurant, the pool, and the lounge for departing guests. The only downside was that it felt a bit crowded, so when I made requests at the lobby, the response was a little slow, which was a bit inconvenient.

Great place for family vacation w baby

Great resort with nice programs and pools for babies & kids. Kind staffs, clean rooms, good amenities, beautiful resort + close to airport. Lava restaurant and spa was fully booked, so I recommend booking in advance. Other than that, all you can ask for a family getaway. Would definitely recommend the resort for family vacation :)

I would highly recommend to learn the service from JW Marriott PHU QUoc and Intercon Danang, we are a little disappointed for the services in general, the staffs may need to provide more training to meet customers expectations. Rather than that, the private beach is very impressive and can enjoy at there.

Location and proximity to airport is amazing. Staff does strive and can sense they try to put in effort though there is much areas such as a) language skills - being more conversant in English b) more attentiveness and thoughtfulness in service. A for effort but poor execution c) food quality can be improved for a IHG property. We ended up having all of our meals (aside from breakfast) in the sister property next door d) service during breakfast which is rush hour was manic and often we have to follow up for our beverage orders. Perhaps consider adding more staffing to cope with the guest capacity

Outdated 4* resort in Phu Quoc

The building area (lobby, pool area, …) is outdated. Our room with garden view is clean, spacious but outdated. No chair service at the beach. The restaurant for breakfast is very busy and noisy with Korean guests. The food at breakfast is only 2* and is not fresh, not comparable with other 5* resort. Coffee is terrible! In overall we rate the outdated Intercontinental resort in Phu Quoc as 4*- or 3*+, but does not by far deserve 5*. The staff (front desk, room service) is very helpful though.

A disappointing 6 nights family trip

Came here for a family trip for 6 nights with an open mind despite all the reviews. But soon I understand why those visitors felt that way... The five star hotel could have provided more, it felt as though the staff ate lack of training, service was not top notch. Breakfast time is unacceptable, service was super slow and one time we had to wait for an hour for a high chair and self service ourselves with water. The kids enjoy the kids club and the kiddie pool. But that's just kids being kids, to me the hotel lack of ambience, it doesn't feel luxurious. Beach should be combed, water was polluted and there are a lot of rubbish. We were lucky enough to be offered club lounge access after spoken to resort manager about our experience. Club lounge was great, food was great compared to the rest of the hotel, we appreciate their quick reaction and it did make us feel a lot better. But overall, we came looking forward to a luxurious tropical holiday, but left a bit disappointed.

I had a wonderful dinner at LAVA for my birthday, the team upon knowing it was a special celebration were extremely attentive and caring. In particular, I would like to thank the Assistant Manager Le Cat Thuong for taking special care of us during our dinner, she took the time to explain all the dishes in detail and shared about the restaurant and hotel's history. Was a truly magical evening and a special thanks to the team for making it an incredible evening. We had the tomahawk and it was cooked to perfection. Thanks to Le Cat Thuong and the team again, wonderful attentive service, would definitely recommend this restaurant to other people and would definitely come back. Next, many appreciated to Mr. Canh Huynh, Sora & Umi Assistant Manager and Miss Maris, the services crew during the breakfast buffet time. They showed their enthusiasm and actively introduced the nearby tourist attractions. Very Impressive.

After a few small issues in our stay, the general manager, Ms Le and her team went above and beyond to make things right. I was really happy with the level of service and all the efforts made by the resort to make our stay comfortable, enjoyable and safe. I went from thinking I'd leave early to thinking, "When can I next come back?"
