This unit is updated, well appointed and extremely convenient to all that we wanted to do in Scottsdale, grocery stores, the 101, bike and walking trails and the airport. Towels and Linens are of high quality and there are plenty of all. The kitchen is stocked with good pots and pans, dishes and storage bowls. It overlooks the pool, spa and gym, which are all kept very clean and nice. The pool is heated.
We weren't able to get in the first night of our stay as the code that was given to us was incorrect and the owner could not be reached because he was out of the country. We were refunded our first night's stay, but our hotel bill was an additional $40 over the cost of the condo for the night. Once we were inside, the cleaning crew had failed to make it in to "brush up" the place after it had been sitting for months without use. The first thing I had to do was to clean the entire apartment, dusting, vacuuming, etc. The bathrooms had been cleaned at some point, but dust was everywhere and quite thick. The owner reimbursed us an additional $100 over the first night's stay for our inconvenience.
The owner was very responsive and nice to talk to once he was aware there were issues and in fairness to him, we didn't ask for more coverage of our hotel and he volunteered the additional $100. He addressed any other concerns quickly. I would just be sure to ask if they are going to be around for questions at the time of your rental so that you can get into the unit if there is an issue.
I would stay in Rick and Katie's unit again, even after the rocky start. After the initial issues, everything was great.
