The Fir Country Cottage

Welcome to the Fir Country Cottage, located in the heart of Philomath, OR! Our charming cottage was built in 1945 and has views of Marys Peak and the beautiful surrounding fir country. Stepping out the front door, you are within walking distance to restaurants, breweries, shopping, coffee shops, Philomath Schools, churches, the local library, museum and much more! Less than 10 minutes to Oregon State University and Reser Stadium. Under an hour to Marys Peak and the Oregon coast!

The cottage is tastefully decorated with a rustic, fir country vibe. Three bedrooms, two bathrooms with cozy blankets, comfortable mattresses and couches, plush bath towels, heat and A/C for ultimate comfort during your stay. We've dialed in to all the small details such as a fully stocked kitchen with a coffee and tea bar, a selection of games, puzzles and books and complimentary toiletries.

*PLEASE NOTE*

The Fir Country Cottage is located on Main St., which is also highway 20/34. This highway is the main thoroughfare through Philomath. We want our guests to be aware of the traffic that travels in front of the cottage. Although the traffic noise is minimized inside, guests will hear cars and trucks passing by. During the week it is a busy and bustling town. Evenings and weekends are less busy. The cottage location makes for very easy access for everything Philomath has to offer.

Great home away from home!

Overall it was a good stay. The home was easy to find, super clean and convenient to Corvallis and other local towns. The great things about this property: clean, roomy, decorated well, close to coffee shops and restaurants. Property is located close to Corvallis. The things that I didn’t realize before I booked. This home is on Main Street which gets a lot of traffic and this is noisy both during the day and night. The internet was extremely slow and caused issues when going online and watching TV. Only had 3 pieces of tissue paper in the entire home. We had to go out and purchase more along with half and half which was chunky and appeared to be expired. Not a lot of spices for cooking. Overall I would recommend to anyone needing a place near Corvallis. The owner did provide ear plugs for everyone. We were there for 6 days

Great home base for visit to Corvallis

Easy 10 minute straight shot to OSU/downtown Corvallis. Super clean and charming. Very comfortable beds! There is some traffic noise during active hours, but it didn’t interfere with our enjoyment. Would definitely stay here again.

Perfect Place!

Loved everything about the uniqueness of the cottage. Five of us stayed at the cottage and we were all pleased with how comfortable the beds were. Everything was clean. Kitchen had everything we needed: dishes, cookware. The listing mentioned noise from the highway, but we didn't notice it. We will definitely stay here again.

Perfect Little Place!

We enjoyed our short stay while visiting family that live in Philomath. It was great to have place that we could walk to all restaurants and bars. Very clean and decorated very well!!! Just 45 minutes to New Port and 10 minutes to Corvallis.

Frolic and Fair

This house was the perfect launching point for the Oregon Country Fair and the rodeo! Comfortable, spacious, clean. Located on a main busy road but hardly noticeable. The back yard was perfect for morning coffee and we were sad we didn’t have time for the fire pit.

Lovely Home Away From Home

We enjoyed our stay at the Fir Country Cottage! Loved the decor of the home, and it was stocked well with supplies for the kitchen. The listing was honest about traffic noise, and the noise machine for one of the bedrooms was a great sleep aide. The kids enjoyed all of the games and puzzles available, and the home was a great location for our back and forth trips to Gill Coliseum. We will definitely stay again if we have another opportunity that brings us back to the area.

Cutest house, immaculately clean, amazing personal touches

5 adults stayed over a long weekend to attend a wedding in this cute house. Everything was so clean, very cute decorations, comfy beds, nice sheets, the fluffiest towels. Host was very responsive to questions about the cooling system. Plenty of dishes, kitchen utensils. On a main road but the back yard is fenced with grass, shade and some chairs. Really nice property!

The Fir Country Cottage is really great - well thought out and set up for 6 people. So comfortable and convenient for Philomath or Corvallis. Close to multiple restaurants, nice backyard patio and plenty of parking at the cottage and on the street as well.

PERFECTION, FELT LIKE HOME!

We recently rented this home for a month to visit family in the area. What a perfect home! Beautifully decorated, and was like walking into a model home. Fresh and Clean! We had family come to visit for a long weekend and there was so much room! Very cozy. They had everything you would need. The owners were amazing. Very accommodating and made you feel like friends. We will be back again !!! Hoping it is available, because if you stay once, you have to go back. Felt like home!!!!!

Late Christmas Visit

Everything was in very good condition...like new. The size and floor plan fit our needs very well. The decor and design, from the interior walls out, fit the location well. It was not overdone so we felt quite comfortable. Great TV setup, and a very nice Christmas tree with lights glowing (thoughtfully on a timer) welcomed us on our arrival. Thanks

Beautiful house for a fun weekend.

We stayed for two nights so it was a short visit. The house was easy to find and beautifully decorated for Christmas. I love the layout of the house and the beds are incredibly comfortable. It was very clean and stalked with everything we needed. There are two couches in the living room along with a recliner so there was room for our whole family of 6 to watch a movie together. I would highly recommend it.
