The property and location were great. Our party was 2 families with 4 adults and 3 teenagers. We really enjoyed being at a winery and having the whole farmhouse to ourselves. It is a great setup for one family downstairs and another upstairs. The house was well furnished with dishes, pans, toiletries, etc. and is nicely decorated. The pool was great, but still cold in April (it isn't heated). We enjoyed visiting the winery for a tasting (thanks Mary K!) and roaming the property. While we we there, a herd of sheep was temporarily on-site to eat the weeds, which added to our experience. We got to meet Jackie and she was very friendly and helpful.
We only had a couple minor complaints. The tap water tastes bad and needs to be filtered for drinking. A filtered tap is installed in the kitchen, but it was not working. Jackie was aware and I'm sure it will be remedied quickly, but we had to buy our own drinking water.
Also, it was a little noisy at night. It is next to a highway out in the country, so the cars are going 55+ mph. Not the owner's fault, but it may helpful to know if you're expecting quiet. The vineyard fans also kicked on at night to keep the vines warm - it sounded like a helicopter - but I guess that's part of staying on a working vineyard. However, the gardeners also started working with lawn mowers and leaf blowers one morning around 6:30-7am. I don't know if that was abnormal, but that should be delayed until later in the morning
All in all, we really enjoyed our stay at the Four Lanterns and we all would like to come back to visit again
