The staff were so nice, especially the manager! Great location. Fortunately we were on the back of the building where it was quiet. Great bars and bakeries and restaurants and just a quick walk to la Bastille. I will definitely stay here again!

I’ve seen hostels that have better rooms. Smelled like humidity. But hotel is well located. Maybe a bit awkward to always have to leave the keys downstairs and having to claim them back every time you come back.

Great hotel! Lovely neighborhood with nearby restaurants, boulangeries, bars, pharmacy and public transportation. Staff was very helpful and friendly (hola, Jimmy!). Yes- it was noisy one night due to the bars downstairs- but nothing unbearable. Great spot to stay in!

Hotel Daval is excellently priced for the convenience and location. It's a bit cozy, and the elevator is basically for one person at a time. The simple breakfast buffet is worth it, and the location, in a lively neighborhood near transportation and numerous restaurants and eateries, is fantastic.

The room size was good and it was clean but it is definitely a 3 star hotel. There is a breakfast but it is not posted there is a fee. We were told there is a continental breakfast, which we thought was included only to be charged 10 euros per day upon our departure. No mention of a fee before that, On the last night we were there, I asked if they happen to have any ice, which I needed for a swollen knee and they said no and gave me a lecture on American's always asking for ice for their drinks. I am Canadian. The location is the selling feature. Lots of bakeries, restaurants and even a techno music street parade 2 blocks from the restaurant. We walked to all of the local tourist sites from here and the metro is located with 2-3 blocks in either direction. I would stay here again because it is clean and in a great location, knowing there are no amenities and not to eat breakfast as there are lots of amazing bakeries within 1-3 blocks of the hotel that offer fresh baked goods and coffee for less then 10 euros.

Our stay was very good and the room was clean. There was a very tiny elevator for luggage. The only real complaint is that we were there in the summer and the air-conditioning was capped very high temp. When we woke up in the morning and opened a window. It was actually cooler outside than in the room with the air-conditioning running.

Nice to have a room with AC. Bed was ok but the pillows were not comfortable at all. Had to leave your key with the front desk which in my many years of traveling, I never had to do that before. Front desk staff were friendly. Sometimes our door wouldn't lock, and we had an occasion the elevator didn't work so we had to haul our luggage down the stairs.
