Bad Experience

The Hotel is closed and blocked off. The company that owns the property (Seahaven Beach Resorts) is up the street. But you do not know that until you arrive at the desolate building.

Palm Grove is the worst place I’ve ever experienced! When I got there-the office had a sign in the window saying they were closed with a note on the door saying to drive a mile down the road to another hotel to check in. So I did. When I put the key in the door of the room to open it-the door almost fell off the hinges! You actually had to lift up on it to get it to shut. The room had an air conditioner going full blast but it was hotter inside the room than outside! I went back & told them I couldn’t stay in that room so they gave me another room key-2202. I found 2201,2203 & 2204 but no room had 2202 on it! There was a room next to 2204 but it looked like the number identifying the room had been ripped off the wall. So I tried my key in that door and it wouldn’t work. So I get back in my car & drive back to the other hotel. I tell them I walked all over the property up & down stairs in the 100 degree weather looking for room 2202 and that I tried my key in the door of what I thought was 2202 & it wouldn’t work. They tell me they have no other rooms available & to get in touch with Hotel.com to get a refund. So I sat in their office in tears talking to Hotel.com for 45 minutes. They were very nice & put me up at a super nice hotel. I would not recommend Palm Groves to my dog!! Was the worst experience ever!

This place didn’t have a microwave, but one thing it did have was roaches and mold. They didn’t even mention that the office to the building was closed or that we’d have to check in at The Reef a couple buildings down.

It was horrible . Room was dirty and service nonexistent at night you get attacked by Roaches . I checked out a day early because we could not handle it another night . The pool was green and had to be closed by a manager. Never again

No wash cloth's no microwave no where to hang your clothes, chicken bones and skin rite outside the door no housekeeping on the property.it was on the beach

Horrible stay

We booked a 3 room suite period there was not 3 rooms. There was only 2 period the a room only had one window unit as well as only a fan. That was supposed to cover all the areas period then then when I tried to talk to the front desk The woman became very rude and said. They don't have any 3 room suites they could move me to. There was Mold in the window unit period the boards outside the door were very rickitty period the room smelled of Mold period there was no microwave period We got moved to another hotel. And when my agent tried to speak with the manager. /front desk person, she refused to speak to them.

couldn't shower cause it fell apart, couldn't watch tv falling off the wall, one channel. soap scum all around the tub. ac not working. roaches crawling over my sleeping child!!!!!

Scam

Do not stay here. It’s a scam. We arrived at check in time and the office was locked and dark. We waited over an hour before booking another place. We drove by multiple times over the next few days. It was always dark and locked.

I have never been in a hotel so dirty, and uncomfortable. The AC didn’t work properly, the shower curtain and the tub had fungus, the smell of the room was horrible. I paid 200 dls for this crap. This is unacceptable and they should renovate asap and not provide service until is clean. I just don’t have words of how disappointed we are about the stay. My family and I couldn’t sleep due to the heat and smell. We left at 6 am just to get out of the hotel.

Overcharged me for key deposit, had to dispute with bank. NO WiFi, Palmetto Bugs everywhere, deluxe 3 bedroom is Only 2 bedrooms with a double in one and 2 sets of bunks in another. The ocean view from the room was laughable, I could only see the ocean if nobody parked in front of my door. There was no way to cook anything, no microwave, one pan with no handle. You could see daylight through the doors and heard cars honking all night. I only stayed One night at Palm Grove and was transferred. to Seahaven, which was a much better property, with an awesome view of the ocean, including WiFi and a microwave.The staff was a pleasure including Debbie, Taye, and Doug. The beach was right there. It's a shame someone doesn't keep up with the Palm Grove property better since it's historical, I heard it's being demolished in the Fall from one of the workers.

The Hotel is horrible, its broken, it has mold, the rooms smell damp if you dont want to have a hard time DO NOT RENT IN THIS PLACE, its scary, and if you have children dont go! El hotel es horrible, esta roto, tiene moho, huele mal, las habitaciones huelen a humedad, si no quieren pasar un mal rato NO ALQUILEN EN ESE LUGAR, da miedo y si tienen hijos no vayan!
