The property is older and some parts of it are run down (like the pillows of the pool cabanas), but our family of 4 had a relaxing time spending 3 nights here. The price was inflated because of Cochella, so it was probably not worth $399 per night for 2 queen beds. There wasn't much ventilation in the bathroom, so it got kind of musty in there and the property is so massive it was a long walk to the lobby. I would recommend if you can get the regular rate ($135/night) and not have to pay up during high season. My husband had a massage at the spa ($165 for 1 hr) and said it was great. The workout room was really nice and we intended to use the free bikes but never did.

Great place to stay in Palm Springs! Close to the airport which was such a luxury. It is also close to the downtown area! Great views all around the area as well. Friendly staff and great rooms as well. The beds were comfortable and the washrooms were so spacious. Would highly recommend.

As seniors we missed a few things. 1. Access to an elevator to our second floor room, 2. parking lot was a ways from our room, 3. We were not able to access either of the 2 restaurants on the property. We were told this was due to a large group of people that were staying there. 4. We reported an inability to get hot water in our shower. ( We were however, given a full Resort fee stay discount for this), 5. All staff were very professional and wanting to care for our nees

Hallway carpets were filthy, shower water pressure was low, hot water wasn’t available the first night, hotel was fully booked for a private event and restaurant was not available for general party even though breakfast was included. The beds were comfortable but rooms outdated. Overall will never return back to the hotel. Staff were nice.

El hotel es viejo y le falta bastante mantenimiento, la alfombra súper desgastada y los colchones de nuestra habitación aguadisimos una cosa exagerada, nunca nos había tocado un hotel así, es la habitación 5131. Cuando reservamos elegimos con desayuno y el día que nos hospedamos había un evento de una religión y el restaurante estaba cerrado al público ya que hicieron bufete para las personas de la religión. Despues de andar preguntando nos ofrecieron un tipo desayuno en una cafetería del hotel, pero nada que ver con lo que pagamos $$$$ Ya después nos enteramos por una empleada del hotel que lo van a demoler que sólo estará abierto hasta el 31 de mayo. La verdad no lo recomiendo

Our stay at Riviera Palm Springs started with a very frustrating check-in experience. We arrived at 3:30 PM, just before the 4:00 PM check-in, and were told our room would be ready in 40 minutes. We agreed to wait. After more than an hour with no update, I returned to the front desk and was simply asked if I received a text. When I said no, I was told the room was still not ready—no apology, no explanation, and no effort to assist. I even offered to take any available room just to avoid waiting longer, but there was no urgency or proper accommodation. This is unacceptable, especially since we booked in advance. With an 11:00 AM check-out, there is ample time to prepare rooms. When we were finally given a room, it had a very poor view that did not match expectations. I have video proof. The lack of communication, accountability, and basic customer service was disappointing. I am requesting a partial refund or compensation for this experience.

Avoid if you aren't part of the "Private Party" I booked a premium room here expecting a standard resort experience, but the hotel was completely overtaken by a large private event (a Bar Mitzvah). While the staff was apologetic, it didn't change the fact that the primary amenities I paid for were unavailable. Limited Dining | Event-Focused | Family-Heavy Service - Staff were polite but couldn't provide access to closed areas. Amenities - All on-site restaurants and bars were closed for a private buy-out. Pool - Crowded with children from the event; not a relaxing atmosphere. Property - Dated, not clean and poorly maintained for the price point. It is frustrating to pay for "resort amenities" only to find them closed for private functions. If you aren't part of the specific group staying here, you are essentially a second-class citizen. Not the IHG quality I expected. I will not stay there again and neither should you..

We stayed 8 days with elderly parents (walker + wheelchair) and had a shockingly poor experience. The resort felt empty despite being “full,” and we were placed in a far building not suitable for mobility needs. Our “upgrade” overlooked a parking lot and active construction. The adjoining doors were stuck shut due to extreme dirt buildup — housekeeping had to repeatedly get more supplies just to clean it enough to open. Issues were constant: broken or ineffective AC, missing or non-working phones, bathroom doors that wouldn’t close or reopen, unsafe showers flooding floors, broken safe, and even a patio that sank underfoot. After being moved rooms, problems continued. The toilet wouldn’t flush unless we manually added water. Housekeeping came only 3 times in 8 days, often leaving no towels or supplies. Requests for basics took hours or never arrived. Food service was frustrating: long waits, wrong orders, and poor service. “Free breakfast vouchers” weren’t worth the hassle. The pool felt unclean, and loud parties disrupted sleep with little security response. We’ve stayed here 6 times and hosted conferences — heartbreaking to see the decline. I wouldn’t host a monkey poo fight here. Stay somewhere else.

What was supposed to be a relaxing, first-time trip to Palm Springs turned into a very disappointing experience. During our stay, multiple restaurants and bars on the property were closed, and the pools were also unavailable. None of this was communicated to us ahead of time. We later found out that the majority of the hotel had been rented out to a large group, which clearly impacted the overall guest experience. Unfortunately, the lack of transparency was only part of the issue. Staff consistently provided conflicting and inaccurate information, which made it difficult to plan anything and added to the frustration. Overall, the service felt disorganized and unwelcoming. While the resort fee was waived, it did not adequately address the extent of the inconvenience and disruption to our stay. Would not recommend based on this experience.

The staff was very friendly and helpful but the hotel was hosting a 600 person event for Passover which was not known to us before arriving, and severely limited the amenities available to us during our stay. Our room was facing a pool which after moving in we found out we were not allowed to use as it was only for the private event. We tried to get breakfast at the in hotel cafe and were told the breakfast items had been taken off the menu because they weren't kosher and they couldn't risk cross contamination. We were told that the main restaurant at the hotel was also going to be kosher only so would only have 2-3 items on the menu you could order for dinner. Poolside ordering was suspended because the event had brought in their own chefs for separate dining in another area. We tried to order drinks at the pool bar but were told all blended drinks were unavailable because of potential cross contamination so only sodas in cans could be ordered. We essentially had to leave the hotel for all meals and every evening for dinner instead of being able to enjoy staying put, and again had to travel a few buildings away from our room to the main pool since we weren't allowed to use the one directly in front of our room. Very weird to not have the limitations disclosed ahead of our stay due to the nature of the private event. We have stayed at this hotel about 5 times before and this was an unusual experience.

This place was so quintessentially Palm Springs we absolutely loved it! I hope they keep most of the decor when they remodel. The lobby, shared pools, and grounds were so beautiful! The breakfast at the restaurant was delicious (albeit expensive like all restaurants we went to!). The only thing that wasn’t great was the food at the coffee shop (coffee was great, pastries were very old and stale and the pizza was odd tasting, not like pizza) an the bathrooms in the rooms - they had sliding barn doors that didn’t close all the way which is silly. We were just with our small family, and there were so many other restaurant to choose from, that this don’t put any damper on our trip. We would highly recommend if you’re looking for a beautiful pool to relax around on your trip! We will absolutely be back!
