We arrived here for an 8-day cycling vacation of Maui. It's a 15 minute walk to the quaint town of Paia. We were able to buy everything we needed to feed ourselves. Occasionally, we would eat at some of the restaurants. Paia wasn't as busy and touristy as we had been warned about. Dave welcomed us on late arrival and showed us around the property. The room was spotlessly clean and the furnishings and appliances were high-end. The air conditioner was quiet, there was no road or air noise. It seemed like we had found our sanctuary. Unfortunately, there was some barking from dogs and we could hear our neighbours coming and going late at night and early in the morning. Dave was very understanding and helped simmer things down a bit. However, if you are light sleepers, we would recommend ear plugs. The carport is right outside the front door and people upstairs seem to wake up before six if they are going to work or seeing the sunrise at the nearby volcano summit or Road to Hana.
We would stay there again for the tranquil setting, hot tub, facilities, location and host.
