My partner and I stayed with my son, his wife and their two daughters. My daughter and her two sons stayed nearby and came for dinner one evening. We were able to eat most of our meals at the table on the front porch but since it was raining the evening of their visit, we ate at the long table in the dining room, with plenty of room for all of us. We were able to grill burgers for that meal on the gas grill on the covered side porch.
The cabin was very clean, well cared for, with everything in excellent condition and all the supplies we could have asked for. Sleeping accomodations were perfect for our party, with the two bedrooms upstairs for my son's family and one downstairs for my partner and me. The beds were very comfortable. We were glad to have a bathroom on each floor so there was no need to go up and down stairs during the night.
The location was convenient for trips into town and to the trailheads for the hikes we wanted to do on the east side of the mountain during our stay.
When I emailed Gina asking if she could suggest easy nearby hikes, she gave directions to two. We went to one, the Skate Creek Nature Park, for lunch after checking out and the kids had a great time playing in the stream.
