Popular for its location at the end of the hall, this dreamy room gets the best evening light. The wallpaper in this room, a reworking of one of Morris' earliest, and best-loved, designs incorporates touches of metallics that radiate a subtle shimmer with the natural light. Look towards the west to view the surrounding trees and back lawn or peer south and view the library grounds and neighboring brewery.
The hotel itself is quite old and charming in its own way. However, this is really not a hotel more of a old bed and breakfast converted into a Hotel. The floors are old and creaking and the walls are thin. So any activity outside your room is very audible and can be disturbing.
The room itslef despite recent renovations still feels quite dated and more like a bedroom in a house not a hotel room. Think small and utilitarian not lavish and roomy. No common things like a TV, alarm clock, etc. that one would expect. But it was clean and the bed was decent quality,
