We were so excited because the pictures are stunning. Unfortunately, we were so disappointed as soon as we walked through the door, that I didn’t even want the rest of our party to enter it out of embarrassment!
Pros: Close to Disney (not Universal), good AC, plenty of space, upstairs laundry, easy trash pickup and check-in. That’s it!
Cons: Dirty, Dirty, DIRTY!!!! Which is crazy because we couldn’t check in on time because they needed another hour to clean. Black grout, baseboards caked with dirt (a lot), dirty diaper under dresser (not ours, a different brand), loads of dirt and trash beneath beds, couch and other furniture, behind curtains, etc. Floors were mopped but obviously not swept due to the amount of dirt and crumbs everywhere. Walls were extremely dingy and scuffed. Just an overall dirty feeling.
Pool: Not clean (sand lined bottom). Heaters did not work efficiently and mid week someone came and dumped loads of chlorine in without telling us, which gave my 8 year old daughter a chemical burn on her face. Thank the Lord we did not put our 2 babies in.
Kitchen: Essentials provided but EVERYTHING had to be washed before use. Food stuck on utensils, cups grimy, DO NOT USE THE KETTLE! we didn’t but kept smelling a rotten smell in the kitchen and finally realized it was the kettle. Disgusted!
Furniture and decor: Previous review said wear and tear to furniture. There were actual RIPS in the leather couch. Like 6-8. Don’t lift up the cushions, because the white couch then looks brown. All other furniture was stained and very worn as well. Don’t expect to see all the pretty placemats, napkins, throw pillows and blankets. Those little details is what drew me to this rental, the Harry Potter pillows and beautiful linens, which obviously was just for staging the pictures you see. The mattresses were bearable on the king and queen beds, but I believe my son’s exact words were “Are these prison mattresses?” which we’re in the Star Wars and Harry Potter rooms. Lights did not work under the beds in the Star Wars room and we feared that the fan in the master was going to crash down on us in the night because it shook and beat so bad.
Other: No wash cloths, few towels, broom (no dustpan) NOTHING to clean with! There could at-least been an All Purpose Cleaner! Filthy high chair. Used toilet paper rolls.
Called to make complain, no return call! Overall, complete disappointment! Big waste of money! DON’T RENT THIS PROPERTY!!!
