Lovely/Great Home and Whole Neighborhood Break-ins

This was our 2nd time coming to this community. Online check-in was easy. Got to the house an hour early so decided to go shopping for food for our stay. Sam's Club, Publix, and Wal-Mart are about a mile away. Got the door code email at 4:08 pm and went in. The layout photo is slightly off but not a big deal. The garage is on the left of the property, and the down stairs bedroom is on the right, so the photo is just flipped. The front door knob (bottom) would not click/shut, so just to shut the door we had to lock it everytime. This property has the pool alarm which was a plus with having small kids. You push the button, then open the door otherwise a loud alarm would go off. The whole neighborhood had break-in one morning 2am-4am and because of the pool alarm it scared the person away from this home. (We forgot to lock 1 door and just so happen they came from that direction.) Police came, we gave our report along with 20 other homes. In one closet there was a pack-n-play, baby gate, high chair, a fold away bed, beach chairs, beach umbrellas that you could use for your stay. The walk thru baby gate was a lifesaver with our 19 month old going up the stairs. The kids had a blast with the private pool/hot tub and a short walk 0.2 miles to the Hideaway Club. We had a great family vacation here this time. We went Deep Sea Fishing, a few of us went to Busch Gardens, shopping, and we went a did a rum tasting. Can't wait til we come again in the future.

Great house

House was great. Plenty of space and most importantly clean!The property management company wanted me to come to their office 20 min away for check in which is insane. But after some emails I was able to get them to do what every single other management company does and just email me the check I. Information. Other than that it was a great experience. The community pool is great!

Nice family vacation

Our family really enjoyed the pool house and water park. Management was very responsive and helpful. Like most rental properties, the property could use a deep clean to earn a higher rating.

Huge clean house

The home was very clean, the beds were very comfortable, and the host was communicative. There were quirks, like the fact that they do not provide much toilet paper, no laundry detergent, and only 2 dishwasher pods. Also, you have to do their paperwork to check in beforehand, and send photos of your ID and credit card. But the host is up-front about these things, if you pay attention to the details. I wanted to give this property a higher rating, but the Storey Lake complex is just not very family-friendly. There were loud parties at all hours of the night, and the houses are so close together, the sound really carries. We had trouble sleeping. We called security multiple times, but nothing was done. They leave the main gate open at all times, so many people came in for these parties. My kids liked the lazy river, but it got very crowded at times. We stayed during February, and the private pool heat just did not get warm enough to even use the private pool at the house. The hot tub was even colder, despite my following the host's directions to try to get it going.

I am so disappointed with our stay. The listing states this house is well equipped, I would strongly disagree. We had 4 total towels in the entire house ( that’s one example). I’m most disgusted with the cleanliness. At first glance it looks great but we found ants in multiple places, the furniture is clearly well used and dirty ( stains on pillows and rugs). The house is so close to other houses you can hear everyone simply chatting. Our last night another house was so loud we could barely sleep. There are so many other properties to choose from- avoid this one!

Tough check in process

The property was nice, but the check in process was terrible. Having to send front and back photos of your credit card and drivers license over a cell phone is a royal pain. The check in office was 30 minutes from the house and extreme traffic. Signs for procedures were all over the house. Not a pleasant experience. Or what we’re use to from VRBO.

Home away from home

Great stay

We enjoyed our stay at this house. It is large and nicely decorated. It was also very clean when we arrived and the check in process was very easy. You’ll definitely want to bring some basic items with you. There are pots and pans, plates, cups and utensils but you may want to bring salt and pepper, paper towels, kitchen towels and trash bags. I would also advise bringing toilet paper as you are only provided with one roll per bathroom. Before arrival I did read reviews that said there were not enough bath towels. We did find a closet with more bath towels downstairs across from the downstairs bedroom which was nice. You’ll definitely want to bring your own pool towels and extra wash cloths. Overall we really did enjoy our stay in the house and it fit our needs as a large travel group.

FAMILY SHORT VACATION

Check in process not the best. No one ever sent me the code to get in until I reached out twice. I paid to have the pool heated for our short stay and that was not done until the end of our 2nd day on a 5 day stay. House worked perfect for us other wise. Just a few suggestions 1. the house should have more towels...not enough for 10 people to shower and use at the pool. 2. house should have some basic supplies for short stay like salt and pepper ...a cleaning spray bottle to clean counters things like this. 3. Extra linens, blankets pillows

Beautiful home in Storey Lake

The house was beautifully furnished and very comfortable. Conveniently located to the pool and amenities, and an easy drive to other areas in Orlando and Kissimmee that we wanted to visit. Nine adults, and we all enjoyed our stay!

Houses were WAY too together!! The noise was horrible!!

Very nice spot

We enjoyed the condo for the most part. It was very close to Disney and the other attractions we wanted to enjoy. There were a few minor dew backs. 1- the internet was VERY spotty and we hardly had service on our cell phones/devices during most of the stay. 2- it was quite dusty and we could tell that the turn over between stays was a quick one as the unit wasn’t cleaned very thoroughly. 3rd, the blinds on the pool door kept falling down. Lastly, the pillows weren’t very comfortable but Over all, the unit was spacious, fairly clean and large enough for our group of 10. Storey Lake resort is very nice as a whole and this is our third time staying there so it was enjoyable for the most part outside of the minor mentionings. We plan to come back next year. Thanks much.
