Melaleuca Cottage offers a perfect blend of modern accommodation with the charm of a country retreat.

It has a verandah with tables, chairs, and gas Weber BBQ to allow guests to sit and enjoy their meals while looking over the tranquil open grounds which hosts many native birds. This newly renovated cottage boasts a fully equipped kitchen, king bed and double spa bath - relax and enjoy your stay. An EV charger has been recently added.

There are beautiful views and a number of areas in which to relax and enjoy the beauty of the four seasons of Orange, with the occasional snowfall.

The two air conditioners provide instant warmth.
The cottage provides a Smart TV, kitchen, washing machine, keg fireplace (wood provided), convection / microwave oven and all the needs for a short stay or extended holiday.

It is adjacent to the racecourse, close to a number of the region's best wineries, fine food dining, cafes, and amazing golf courses.
A healthy, light breakfast is available for the first morning - with our farm fresh eggs.

Two transit bikes and / or 2 Ebikes are available for hire - contact us if you would like them. $25 per bike or $50 per ebike per 2 night booking

Guest access

Visitors may access the areas adjacent to the cottage, front and back paddock and even feed the pet horse, Daisy, pat the alpacas, Bobbie and McGee, or sat hello to our Baby Doll sheep - Gus and Bert.

Interaction with guests - Majella and Simon are happy to recommend activities and places to visit - like a walk to Phillip Shaw Winery, or biking routes.
We are happy to interact as much, or as little, as you would like.

Other things to note

From the cottage, Orange town centre is only 3km, Phillip Shaw Winery and the Racecourse are within walking distance (1.5 km) for active visitors.

There is easy access to a number of the region's great fine food restaurants, numerous coffee shops, cool climate wineries, Orange Regional Art Gallery, Mount Canobolas, and Wentworth and two great golf courses.

Melaleuca Cottage is on a 5 acre block which also has a main house which shares the main driveway. Strategically placed hedges, double glazed windows and a bush outlooks provide great privacy.

Lovely cottage, peaceful location. Melaleuca cottage has everything you need. It is a Great place to stay as a jumping off point to explore the local area. Even EV charging accommodated.

Great long weekend at Orange and surrounds

We had a really good stay. Loved the location and the space around the cottage. Simon the host is very nice and approachable, while we were still able to maintain privacy. We'll stay here again when we come back to Orange.

Great Location peaceful spot

Very quaint set up, very authentic cottage vibe. Hosts made us feel very welcome and were not at all intrusive. Many little extras, home made soap, fresh honey , farm eggs , even chocolates. We had a great stay , wineries in short distance, visited the Pinnacle lookout.

Amazing Little Cottage

Me and my partner absolutely loved staying here. We went to Orange for the weekend and couldn’t have been happier with our accommodation. Super cosy, gorgeous setting with lots of native birds around, short drive to town and to wineries, ebikes available (which we had a lot of fun riding). Simon and Majella were both lovely hosts and we couldn’t be more grateful.

Quiet Getaway.

This property was the perfect space for our little family. It was very clean and cosy with all the amenities needed. Simon and Majella were lovely hosts and even took my son to feed the horse and chickens. We loved it.

Great little cottage lovingly restored

Ticks all boxes. Love and attention gone in to making this somewhere special to stay. King size very comfy bed to give great sleeps. Hosts there if anything is needed but gives you all ur privacy. Close to many attractions to enjoy and shops n cafes in Orange. Highly recommend

Perfect cottage

The Prices’ Cottage is a smashing 5/5 and if I could rate it higher I would. You can genuinely feel thé love and detail that they have put into this place. It had all the amenities that you could think of, even some Epson salt for the bath… I did the mistake of having too much planned on my itinerary, and I’m hindsight, the cottage itself would be a perfect getaway in Orange. Thank you so much for creating such a unique place and sharing it with the world.

Perfect Place

Everything was as advertised and much more! Ideal for a couple of (older) people! Everything needed was in the Cottage ! Heated floor in the bathroom, everything you need in the kitchen including a great coffee machine including fresh coffee beans even fresh milk, Bed very confortable with plenty of blankets if need ! Greatly recommended and the host Simon was wonderful and we also were called to feed the lamas and horse ! Fabulous place to recommend !

The perfect country getaway

We had the perfect weekend getaway in a quaint cottage in the countryside. The hosts were friendly and accommodating as well as a wealth of knowledge. The cottage is a mix of both modern and traditional with all amenities, including a sweet fireplace and fresh farm eggs in the fridge. Sitting on the porch with a cheeseboard and glass of wine in the afternoon surrounded by the native birds was beautiful. Stunning location, great hosts and a perfect little cottage. Can not ask for more.

Absolutely perfect! The hosts are so thoughtful and went above and beyond in anticipating your every need. The bed is huge and super comfortable, the kitchen is very well equipped and we loved the fresh eggs, bread, bacon and local wine! The jura coffee machine was an added bonus! The accommodation is close to town and wineries, all around 5-10 mins away. The cabin is super cosy, spacious and quiet. We are already planning our next visit and have recommended to all our friends!

Relaxing retreat

This is a delightful property away from the hustle and bustle of town. Everything you are likely to need was provided, including their own honey and eggs The owners have sheep and alpacas that you can be involved with if you wish. A relaxing stay.

Melaleuca Cottage was a cozy place to spend a few days. Many thoughtful and generous touches added to the experience. The furnishings were extremely comfortable. Birds feeding around the cottage enhanced the relaxed feel.

Beautifully converted old farm building. All the comforts you could want with a large spa bath to top it off. Our hosts were helpful, friendly and easy to contact when required. Lovely spot to watch the local birds. Close to town but even closer to the wineries and Mount Canobolas

Great little one bedroom cottage

This property has everything you need for a beautiful weekend away in the magical Orange region. All the necessary mod cons mixed with a peaceful location in amongst the trees. Wonderful birdlife calls take you far away from the hustle and noise of city life. Very enjoyable stay. Would come again.

Cute cottage

Cute cottage with a beautiful garden. Loved arriving to fresh bread, a bottle of red, and homegrown honey. Delicious! Main house is next door, however far enough to ensure you have your own private escape. Definitely recommend if you’re planning a short getaway to Orange.
