This is a refurbished "grand hotel" that has been restored to give the feel of the original construction with modern updates. It's clear that some fixtures were chosen for budget provisions. All in all it works. The room was quiet and the bed comfortable. A major priority. The staff was very nice, like it seems everyone in algeria. The location is central and desirable to me for that reason.

There no sea view since the hotel isn’t by the sea but an impressive art deco lobby, corridors and restaurant and artist paintings everywhere. Perfectly clean room and good room cleaning service. Staff very helpful particularly the staff at the restaurant La Bastille with the chef coming out to ask about the food and even giving my wife a recipe for a special dish

The hotel is generally ok for the price, but it's not great. It was wonderfully renovated, but things are already falling apart in rooms and it is not cleaned properly. There were body hairs everywhere in my bathroom. The young staff at the reception are very friendly but not very professional. I wasn't sure until the day I was leaving whether the airport transfer would really be there. I repeatedly asked for an invoice, but they refused to give me one and the hotel doesn't reply to emails now, which is unacceptable. If you're travelling for work, avoid this hotel.
