This space gives the camper the relaxing getaway deserved

Beautiful view of the Sierra Mountains, near Death Valley, Mount Whitney and Alabama Hills. Several places to explore including the Museum of Western Film History, Dirty Socks Hot Springs, Cerro Gordo Mining Town, Fossil Falls, Diaz Lake Recreation Area, Lone Pine Film Museum. Quick access to hiking and dirt roads.

Imagine; the tree was a mere seedling when King Solomn built his temple in Jerusalem, a sapling when Christ was born. The General generates enough wood each year to produce a 60-foot tall tree of average size. Dozens of giant sequoia are neighbors to the General; the half-mile downhill trail into the Giant Forest offers access to the General and all the beautiful and hardy creatures. Just be aware returning to the parking lot requires a gentle, uphill walk. It was certainly worth the trip. Cold and windy

the campsite was empty when we arrived with only 1 other RV, so not sure if it was just unpopular or we went at a bad time. It was extremely windy we couldn't even cook our food. I also got sick from the cold.
