Okunoshima Beach

The hotel location was ok, it is a bit far from the train station, however close to the tram. It’s a nice quiet place. Unfortunately we underestimated the size of the room, so we had a small room, we would highly recommend booking larger rooms at this property. The breakfast is traditional, apart from cereal, eggs Benedict and pastries, there isn’t many options for foreigners. It would be great if they had some plain bread, something that isn’t so sweet. It would also have been great to get some bottles of water as we only came across an ice machine. It was very useful having convenience stores nearby. The hotel also offers you a complimentary drink which is nice. We used a bag transfer process from this hotel, the staff were very helpful. It’s important to be aware that the hotel will charge you a tax fee for staying, on top of the booking, fees and charges when booking. It would be great if this could just be paid during the time of booking.

Amazing hotel. Categorized as 3-star but lives up to 5-star reputation. Brand new. Elegant Japanese design. Big rooms. Comfortable beds. Excellent service. Just across from the ferry port that takes you to Miyajima island. Might be a bit far from central Hiroshima, but its advantages outweigh this single disadvantage. Very much recommend!
