The housekeeping was exceptional. The staff were kind. Views were phenomenal. However we did not have a shower head that worked properly. After three attempts in reporting it and nothing done, on our last day the house keeping staff finally took initiative to get it replaced.

This property was not one in which you could access things easily because it was a little bit off the beaten track. However, that’s my style so I really liked it. A popular areas were very busy congested noisy and chaotic. They have a Tour company on staff, that’s reasonable in price, reliable, and there specifically for that resort, so you don’t have to wait to pick up other people before getting to go where you want to go. I did find that I wanted to try other restaurants and food. I wasn’t traveling solo. I probably could’ve ventured out more to find other places. All in all it met my needs and I would go back there to stay

The Tanzanite Resort is an excellent choice for spending relaxing days in the Nungwi area. Aesthetically, the resort is very nice, the sea in front is beautiful with amazing colors, all the staff is very friendly and helpful (manager, waiters, reception, excursion staff, cleaning and gardening staff). The surroundings of the facility are quaint and safe, nearby attractions such as the Nungwi Aquarium and local stalls. A 15- to 20-minute maximum cab ride to Nungwi Beach and Kwendwa.

The staff here is amazing and so welcoming. Also the airline lost my luggage so i didn't have clothes to change into. The concierge helped me by getting stuff i needed like clothes and an adaptor. If i come back i will definitely stay here again.

The place is OK

This place is alright. It’s placed beautifully and the view of the ocean is mind blowing and the garden is also beautiful, but that’s honestly the only thing about this place, that is worth mentioning. The food wasn’t great, the service was slow. My room wasn’t properly cleaned and the bathroom looked worn. The pool was small and seemed dirty - almost yellow like. There’s a lot of noice from the road outside of the hotel. People were nice and sun beds was good. There was refrigerator and A/C in the room. Overall .. it was alright

Staff were exceptionally kind and welcoming. Had a great stay and would definitely return in the future. I’ve stayed in an few other hotels in Nungwi over the years, and I think this hotel offers great value for money. The only problem I encountered was that the air conditioning unit in my room displayed the temperature with a bright LED screen, which bathed the room in light when it was switched on at night (similar to having a dim light on all night). As a result the room wasn’t very dark at night and I had trouble sleeping and ended up using an eye mask.

The Service was really good and the Food Taste is excellent. If you want to eat a different foot than what is in the menue you have to let them know a day before. The Workers are verry Nice and ready to help. They accompagned us in the market place to buy all we needed. Every guest is honored in a Special way that make feel Special. The natural style of the hotel is really good for those who like to be in the nature. The rooms were clean and big enough. The bet are really confortable and the place is quiet. In about five minutes walk there is a lokal restaurant, two Zoo. In one of them you have the possibility to swim with turtelst and fish. We spend 8 days in the hotel and were verry happy.

Possibly best location in Nungwi

Wonderful location with easy access to the water. This part of Nungwi is less crowded and you can actually relax without getting too distracted by all the sellers. The view from the resort and our room was incredible. Workers were very kind and helpful. The food served was okay although could use some more seasoning since it didn’t taste that much. If you stay longer you might get a little bit tired of the choices available. Even though the menus vary from day to day it mostly is the same things with different names. We appreciated the buffet served one night when we had a chance to try some local dishes. There are not that many rooms so it doesn’t feel crowded. The room was spacious and had everything we needed. As for the cleanness, it was fine. However if you need everything like sheets and towels to be spotless this may not be for you. You will get these fresh every day however they will have some stains on them- most likely from drying them outside. Other than that it really is a great place to stay. We really enjoyed our stay there and would happily stay there again.

Hello, First of all, I would like to point out the extreme kindness of all the staff at this hotel, who made every effort to ensure that we had a pleasant stay here. Having said that, let's talk about our booking, the price and the cleanliness of the premises. First of all we never had the room that we had seen on your site and to be able to access it it cost me the modest sum of an extra 300 dollars and that I find scandalous! Then let's talk about the surprises that we found in the bathroom in the middle of the night and which cost my partner a night in hospital because she was bitten by a scolopendre. We had a total of 3 encounters with these little creatures, which cost my companion 500 dollars in medical expenses and left her phobic for the rest of our stay. I find the quality of cleanliness of this place deplorable and I think that for the price paid plus everything that happened to us during our stay we will not return to this establishment and may even book again on your site.

Wonderful hotel and wonderful staff

The hotel was so perfect and wonderful situated at the Beach. The staff was so Nice, kind and friendly and helpful. The food was wonderful (had breakfast and dinner all Days), and the kitchen staff was really Nice and helpfull. The pool was lovely and a fantastic View over the sea. Me and my family enjoyed the stay very much and Would like to come back.

We had an okay stay at Tanzanite beach resort but there were a lot of downsides. First the WIFI!!!!!! You do not have wifi in the bedrooms & if you're lucky enough to catch the wifi, it's extremely slow, we had to go in the lobby to stay in touch with our loved ones! We told the staff about issue, they were well aware of it and did not do a THING. Second, the bathroom sink. Washing your hands is almost an extreme sport because as soon as you turn on water, it splashes outside of the sink. Third, the shower. We almost had a flood after every shower we took because the water would not drain out. They did not do a thing about this issue.

Average resort stay.

I stayed in Tanzanite beach resort for 3 night. Last part of the drive to the hotel is on a gravel road that is very bumpy. Free massage road, they call it. It was a comfortable stay. Room is spatious and clean. Bed was comfy. Bathroom was alright. The water pressure isn't great! The fridge was not working. Staff were all friendly. Some don't understand English that well. The service at the restaurant was terrible. You do wait a long time for your food and drinks. Breakfast was nothing fancy at all. They can change it up a bit. The luch and dinner that i had at the hotel was not bad. They can however change their menu up a bit. Do check the tides as the hotel is right on the beach and with high tide you can't walk into the busier part of nungwi via the beach. Also take water shoes as you want swim infront of the hotel without them. Don't expect much from your stay though.

Fantastiskt ställe med nära till trevliga och bra restauranger! Maten på hotellet var inte jättebra och frukosten var bristfällig och sparsam. Rummet var perfekt, rent och fantastisk utsikt! Servicen på hotellet var fantastiskt, personalen gjorde verkligen allt för att man ska ha en underbar upplevelse! Ett särskillt stort tack till Ester för hennes otroliga bemötande!
