Extremely helpful staff. Great hotel. The public beach in front of the hotel has a busy (and sometimes party) vibe. It can be loud during the day but quiets down by 10-11pm. We had a good beach view from our room. Room was very clean. There were other dining options nearby the hotel.

Loved our stay at Z2 Hotel! Staff are all so welcoming, friendly and helpful – which made Hotel Z and Z2 a standout property. You'll be greeted with warm smiles and a happy "Jambo" by everyone! Hotel Z is the main property, and Z2 is the sister property (where we stayed) right around the corner. Hotel Z2 offers the same access to the Z Hotel property including the pool and beach lounge area (pool-side service), gym, spa and access to the Z property restaurants and other beach-front resort property restaurants. Our room was not beach-front- but did include a pool view and was very quiet. The beach is very short walk around the corner through the Z Hotel. The location in Nungwi is excellent on a more quiet section of the beach, and close enough to night life and fun activities. The resort properties offers all-inclusive restaurants if you purchase that package. We had the breakfast package - which at Z2 and was pool-side right on the property and very good – egg dishes or avocado toast made the way you like + a really generous buffet spread with juices, fresh fruit, pastries and so much more. Rooms are very clean and the air conditioning is really good - a must on this tropical island. A back-up generator kept everything running well 24/7. This is a big deal on the island where rolling blackouts can occur. Security were all very welcoming and kept a close eye on the entrances but the area, and everywhere we went in Zanzibar, felt very safe regardless.

Wonderful stay. Z2 hotel is lovely and we had access to everything in Z1. I travel a lot and this was my favorite resort stay I’ve ever had. The staff members are WONDERFUL and I felt so lucky to get to know them. Sam, Raheema, Nora, and Abdullah are just a few of the wonderful staff members that made me feel like I was at home.

Would highly recommend this hotel. We stayed at Z2 but frequently used the facilities at Z hotel as well. Staff were so friendly and nothing was too much trouble. Room was lovely and clean, food all round at all the restaurants was amazing! Best meals we had across our holiday.

We stayed at Z2. Beautiful room (penthouse suite!) Complimentary water everyday. Free WIFI which was very solid. The Marigold restaurant was excellent for Indian food and the breakfast was plentiful and enjoyable. The pool was lovely and often had it on our own. The Z hotel is a short walk from Z2 but always has plenty of sunbeds and two further restaurants. Would absolutely stay there again.

Room was always clean and comfortable. The front desk staff was friendly and helpful, especially Aysher. Onsite restaurants, bar service and gym were all great. Front desk also arranged cabs to and from Stone Town and the airport (roughly 1-1/2 hour, $60 trip). A great spot for a beach/pool relaxing vacation. Hot water for showers was an issue, but perhaps common for the Zanzibar region?

Room was excellent. We had the third floor pool view at the z2. We found the z2 to be a newer more modern building compared to the z. So even though it wasn’t direct water access, we liked staying the z2 better and using the z during the day. Amazing breakfast buffet. We loved our stay. Gym at the z was excellent also. Had lots of options. Finally location was great. Near by walking distance to all restaurants. We prefer this beach over kendwa as well if had to pick.
