"Keep in mind that the restaurant is closed on Monday, one of the reasons why I selected this lodge. After a 9 hr. drive was disappointment that there was no food on the premises. Not familiar with the area I needed to drive 20 minutes to find a restaurant. Other than that the room was clean and the bed was comfy."

"Great location, reasonable price, and very private. Great base for riding the southern Hatfield/McCoy trails. Plenty of room with 3 bedrooms. Fire pit with plenty of firewood handy."

"Beautiful quiet property. The history of the land and the cabin was especially interesting as we toured many of the areas where the ancestors lived. Helpful and communicative host. Yes, it’s an older cabin, but with many nostalgic touches, which made it so comfy and interesting."

"Only issue was parking is on small/ tight side ! Now I do have a crew cab truck and 24' enclosed trailer. But we managed ok . Cabin was small but cozy. Overall nice place. We spent 4 nights"

"Overall is a very nice place. Lack of water pressure due to being on cistern would be the only draw back. But we never ran out of water just low pressure. Trail head is 15 minutes down the road."
