Wonderful, lived-in, old contemporary cape cod, wood paneled house with amazing outdoor spaces, wonderful multi-generational art, and 4 levels of interior space. If you're looking for fancy, recent renovated this is not for you- but decks are new and fantastic location. Owners were exceedingly nice and accommodating. Will return...
Family trip with adult children and their partners.
This home was everything we had hoped it would be. It is extremely spacious with lots of different space options which allowed for wonderful together time but also offered plenty of options if people needed to have some quiet time. The deck is truly amazing, with lots of space and comfortable furniture surrounded by trees and privacy. The newly renovated downstairs bathroom has a wonderful shower that we all enjoyed. We loved walking to the private beach daily and in just a few minutes by car we could have great trips to the ocean beaches. We loved everything about our stay.
What a beautiful house! The deck is amazing. We spent most of our time out there. The private beach is a short walk away and so beautiful with warm water to swim in. The fish market, liquor store, ice cream shop, lunch places are all a 3 min drive or a nice bike ride away. All the local artwork in house create such ambiance. A quintessential Truro experience.
My wife, my son and his family (two boys) have spent two weeks each August for the past three yeas. We found the layout of the house to be ideal as it separated the two families, each with their own bath. A spacious living room that all six of us in the evening or a rainy day. My wife enjoyed lounging on the upper deck in the evening gazing at the night sky. The kitchen is very well equipped, although my son fell in love with the outside grill and cooked most of our dinners on it. Often in the evening we would all stroll down to the beach at the end of the road and have a swim. During the day it's but a short drive to the ocean. To sum it up, tranquility, even with four adults and two boys. Three memorable summers here and I hope many more.
The addition of the outdoor deck made this property get 5 stars - It feels like you are in a tree house and you can entertain or comfortably relax all day outdoors on this deck. Easy walk to private beach with amazing sunsets. The kitchen is very small and the interior of house a bit on the older/dusty side, but the outdoor deck makes up for that . Pus great art in the house!
The back deck and porch was were we spent most of our time at the house. It was so nice and lovely! The walk down to the beach meant that we could pop down and watch the sunrise, look for shells or splash in the water.
Amazing property we got to enjoy for a week on the Cape. The new deck and screen room were an amazing addition we greatly enjoyed and will enjoy even more once the screens can be installed (planned for later this summer). The house was great, kitchen well-equipped, close to our favorite beaches, and in a quiet neighborhood. The entire house is filled with beautiful artwork done mostly or entirely by the family. It was spacious enough for the 8 of us to spread out and also all be in the same room when we wanted. Lots of stairs that may be tricky for very young kids, but our 2 year old did well. Looking forward to future stays here!
The home was as advertised, close to a beautiful private beach. Lots of room in the home for the family. Owner was helpful with information. Our stay was wonderful and weather cooperated.
Our extended family of 7 had a lovely stay at this Truro escape that gives off a comfy, almost rustic vibe. The house is about a 10-minute walk to a private beach (down a steep set of stairs, which could be tough for elderly or anyone with trouble walking) and easy access to a variety of other beaches and places to bike, shop, etc. A couple of days were 90+ degrees, and the house became hot in the mid-afternoon, but the main living areas cooled down nicely by the early evening. We enjoyed star-gazing on the terrific roof deck. The kitchen was reasonably well-equipped. The beautiful artwork, which we learned is mostly done by 3 generations of the owners' family, adds to the homey and welcoming feeling.
Speaking of the owners, we had terrific communication with them when a problem arose. The day of our arrival, the washing machine broke. Within hours, the family had arranged to have a new one installed during our stay, and they remained in communication with us throughout the week to ensure that we were comfortable.
We really liked the roof deck that you access via a spiral staircase from the deck below, having both a living room and a big den and two bathrooms, the artwork around the house and having just a short walk to the beach. We also appreciated all the cookware, glasses and appliances and the grill and picnic table outside the den and the outdoor shower.
The house’s proximity to a private beach, a roof deck suitable for late afternoon cocktails or quiet reading, and plenty of room for our party of six grownups made for a perfect Cape Cod getaway. Owner David, whose beautiful ink drawings decorate the walls, was very responsive to a small issue we had during the week and followed up (twice) to be sure all was well. Highly recommend!
This was a beautiful property and home. Decorated in such a lovely manner: original mixed-media paintings, perfect attention to detail...wonderful!
I only wish I had known that there were so many stairs up and down and up and down again to access the beach. We had purchased the town’s beach pass and used Cold Storage or Corn Hill for much easier access.
The roof deck was a fabulous spot for morning yoga with my daughters...is there anything better than that?
Hopefully you will enjoy your stay at #23!
EH
The house provided the perfect spot for my wife, two daughters (3yo and 5mo), my parents and brother to stay for our family vacation. Truro is out of the high traffic areas on the Cape but close to all the amenities of Provincetown. The house has access to a nice quiet private beach which we enjoyed a few times.

The house worked really well for us and we had a great vacation.
Before the trip, there were some glitches in the details. The owner was responsive and we worked through the issues quickly and easily. The set up of the house worked well for us, and it was in a great location. Some musty or moldy smell in the downstairs bedrooms was unpleasant. And we would have preferred a real queen or king in the master bedroom rather than 2 twins next to each other, but these issues didn't bother us much as other things were so great. We loved the outdoor shower and upper deck. The kitchen was well equipped and the appliances all worked well.

Great space. Loved that it had two family rooms.
Clean, very well equipped and definitely felt like home. The grandkids loved the “secret” loft and hammock. Nice walk to a beautiful beach. Had a wonderful, three generation vacation.

Great location, great house.
Just a short walk to the bay beach and a short drive one of the world's most beautiful beaches (Head of the Meadow), this was a great house for two small families. One family upstairs and one downstairs, both with a full bath. The house had all the cape necessities, BBQ, outdoor shower, beach chairs and umbrellas. Thanks!

Wonderful beach vacation home
The house was very comfortable for 7 adults -- 3 couples and one single. The twin beds in two of the bedrooms can be pushed together, so it would easily accommodate 4 couples. We also had a baby in a crib, and the bedroom was large enough to accommodate that. The house is not fancy but it is very well-equipped, with all the kitchen equipment one could ask for (including grapefruit spoons!), a capacious laundry room, some beach chairs, an umbrella, boogie boards, and games. The beds are very comfortable (and we're fussy about that).
The upper deck is glorious for watching the sunset or star gazing. You can see the Milky Way!
We enjoyed the goldfinches that came to the feeder, and the large butterfly that was on the beautiful butterfly bush in front.
The beach is terrific, and only a 7 minute walk. It's a private beach, so it was fairly empty. The bay is calm and great for swimming, and the water temperature is warmer than at Corn Hill.
The host (Gail Hinchin and son David) were incredibly accommodating. We received our damage deposit a week after we returned. The price for this house is very reasonable. Linens and towels are not provided, which is kind of a pain if you're coming from California, but the upside is you get to choose your own sheets. There are plenty of pillows and blankets.
We love Truro. It's not as crazy as Provincetown, but very close for grocery shopping, lovely gardens, and the dune shack trail, which is very special. Wellfleet is also nearby for upscale shopping and pretty houses. But the beaches in Truro are the best, and the vibe is old Cape Cod. I wish we could come back every year!

Lovely summer escape
This house was lovely for our two families on vacation. The house was big enough for four adults and four kids to enjoy comfortably. It had everything we could need for the week. The house is in a great location in North Truro - the local private beach and roof top deck were wonderful bonuses.

Perfect
We had 5 adults. 4 bedrooms and 2 baths. Loved the decks. Very private. Even though very hot weather when we were there, it cools down at night for nice sleeping . The private beach is beautiful. We drove our chairs, umbrellas, and coolers to the stairway and then one person would walk back. Quite a stairway down to beach but very worth it. Very lovely property. Enjoyed our stay.

Awesome place and great location!
- Owner/ rental agent was very responsive to all questions (and I emailed a lot)
- Location is minutes from Provincetown, Dune hiking, and a 7 min walk to the private beach
- Beach is fantastic and really private. Small cooking fires are allowed so we made s'mores while watching the sunset over Provincetown - spectacular!
- Beach was clean
- House was well maintained. Comfortably fit 8 adults and two small children (<2yo)
- Top tier deck was great to hang out on
- Area around the house is mostly woods with lots of wild blueberries -- not really any "yard" to speak of
- BBQ grill is present but has seen some better days. Serviceable though. Also it is NOT gas, it's a charcoal grill.
-Kitchen was well stocked with cooking utensils, we had no issues there
- One thing to note, garbage is dumped at the Truro Transfer Station (dump). A dump STICKER must be BOUGHT at the dump before you can use the facilities. Glass, aluminum and paper need to be separated.
Overall we had a great time and would highly recommend!
