Gorgeous Mountain Top Cabin with Beautiful Views
Camp Finale is the last cabin on our quiet country road and offers incredible mountain views to the south.
It is a sweet “new old” cabin is modest in scale, simply furnished so to not detract from the richness of the views --- it offers a fresh, invigorating sense of “just what is needed, nothing more.” The cabin is located on a 40 acre family compound where we have four glamping tents and seven cabins with plenty of privacy between each.
There is a queen bed with duvet covers and beautiful south facing views of the mountains. Vintage oriental rugs, beautiful drapes and antique lamps. There is a cozy bay window where one could read, or sleep. The bay window overlooks a wildflower meadow with a canopy of trees behind the cabin. The bathroom has a nice shower and vanity. There is plenty of hot water, towels, soap, shampoo and conditioner for your use. The kitchen is fully stocked with a stove, an under counter fridge, toaster, coffee making things and of course a sink. There are good pans to cook with, plates, glasses and silverware. The cabin is cozy warm in winter with propane heater.
There is a fire pit with Adirondack chairs. Stargazing at night is amazing as there is no light pollution.
Summers are wonderful with cool mountain breezes, nearby lakes and the Hudson River to swim, bathe or fish in. Fall is glorious with all the trees turning color.
We are only five miles from Gore Mountain for downhill skiing and three miles from Garnet Hill Lodge for cross country skiing (and dining!)
Enjoy a hot tub experience! Built within a beautiful Japanese temple-like structure on one of the most beautiful spots of our land (a very short walk from this cabin), our all natural no-chemical hot tub is a delightful way to start your morning, relax after hiking or winding down after dinner. Available for a private experience for $25 for an hour of wonderful relaxation. Let us know if you would like to book!
Also available for private experience is our new Cedar Sauna located a short walk up to the Main Compound. This sweet little building offers a dressing room and lovely new cedar sauna. $30 for one full hour.
Spring, Summer and Fall: Join us for wood-fired pizza! On the upper portion of our land off Cemetery Road, we have a wood fired pizza oven. Here’s how it works. We make and provide the dough, and guests bring their own toppings. We fire up the wood-fired pizza in the late afternoon. By six, the wood fire has died down and the oven is about 800 degrees. Most nights (not all) From six-thirty to seven, guests come to the pizza pavilion with their toppings and we help them cook their pizzas.
As for summer things to do in the area, there is white water rafting in the beautiful clean Hudson River right at the bottom of our hill offered by various kayaking companies, hiking spots galore, a nearby gorgeous completely undeveloped lake called 13th Lake, dining in North Creek or nearby Garnet Hill Lodge and great daytrips to nearby Lake George, Blue Mountain Lake, Lake Placid and such.
The property is an easy scenic drive up 87 from NYC. If you arrive late, the house will be unlocked and lights on for you.
If this cabin is booked, take a look at our cabins and glamping tents, all are listed on this site.: Glamp Richard, Glamp Suzanne, Glamp Thomas, Glamp Bernice, Farmstand, Camp Twosome, Camp Hudsonview, Camp Bossie and Camp Lillian.
In nearby North Creek, we have two cabins on the Hudson River (Camp Riverwood on the Hudson and Riverfront Cottage) and a gorgeous ten room Victorian a few miles away (Adirondack Victorian).
ARCHITECTURAL NOTES: The cabin was designed and hand crafted by its hostess/owner Leslie. A small crew framed the house in November and Leslie had a lovely winter doing all the inside carpentry and painting during the winter.
A great deal of thought and energy went into planning this cabin. Like a tree grabbing a roothold in the slope, reaching down for water and minerals and arching up toward the available sunlight, a house must begin and grow from its site. When the design of a house has grown out of the uniqueness of the site, it will seem as natural and as integral a part of the whole as trees are a part of the forest. When the house becomes a part of the land, the site can be fully inhabited. The cabin is not set a top the highest point of the land, where it would be fully exposed, but partway down, allowing the woods behind to form privacy and to shelter the house. Gaze out at the wildness of the site from a sheltered spot.

This was my husband and my second stay at one of the adorable hobby farm cabins. We enjoyed the privacy and tranquility of the location and view, and loved the quaint antique eclectic decor. The bed was comfy and bathroom clean!
My wife and I love the secluded location. Incredible view of the mountains and the Hudson just down the road. The cabin had everything we needed and more. We couldn't have asked for a better experience.
We had a simply lovely stay at our cabin named Finale. The space was perfect for the two of us and the setting was peaceful and picturesque. We enjoyed walking the property with our dog who almost eloped with Bella, the welcome dog 😊
I truly enjoyed this property. Private, quiet, and close to hiking trails, with the convenience of being just a short distance to North Creek for any needed necessities. I found the cabin so quaint, comfortable and thoughtfully appointed. Wildlife right outside...turkey, deer, and solitude. I would return.

Sweet cozy cabin, perfect for couples. All essentials are provided for a nice little vacation. Large window overlooking meadow provides gorgeous mountain views. Fridge is very small, but has room for essentials. The cabin is decorated in rustic chicness. Very private and peaceful. We'll definitely be back for a future visit.
This stay was exactly what we needed. After a stressful year this was the first time we were able to truly relax in forever.
The pictures don’t even do this home justice! This quaint cabin is tastefully decorated with picturesque windows of the million dollar Mountain View’s visible from anywhere in the cabin (even the bathroom). When we weren’t basking in the sunlight, taking in the views, and taking some glorious reading naps on the ultra comfy bed at the cabin, we were either in the beautiful cedar hot tub just a short walk away or down the road at 13th lake taking a dip or exploring the mountains on kayaks rented from discovery kayak at the end of the road. This was one of the most peaceful places I’ve ever been. No road noise just pure nature. Totally zen experience.
North Creek about 10 minutes down the road is the cutest little town on the banks of the Hudson River. Has a few solid restaurants (our favorite was bar vino - HIGHLY recommend) and cute shops. Close to Stewart’s for any grocery needs. Close proximity to Gore and the Hudson for all outdoor activities.
Leslie was an absolute delight. Our last night there we went to the main camp for pizza. Not only is she a phenomenal pizza chef but an incredible host. The entire property is breathtaking and you can tell the amount of thought went into the entire experience.
We laughed, we danced, we ate, and we recharged. Will most definitely be back - likely w/ friends! Can’t wait to visit come fall or ski season.
This was our second stay at Finale cabin. The setting and ambiance is unbeatable. The views and mountain breezes were extremely impressive. This is also a great central point to take advantage of hiking and swimming.
The property was beautiful and felt very private. It had wifi, but we didn't use it. The view of the mountains and the meadow were spectacular and the view is the first thing you see when you wake up! The cabin was nicely and simply decorated which gave us even more of that "slow down" feeling.
About 15 minutes away from Gore Mountain, this is a beautiful place to stay at. The cabin is very comfortable and well stocked, located in the perfect spot to see a beautiful sunrise every morning to get your day going!
we loved this beautiful space! it was so peaceful + relaxing. very clean + had everything we needed for a great night. highly recommend staying here. can’t wait to come back!

Very unique cozy cabin. Gorgeous views with a sitting area and a fire pit. Comfy bed and living space. Kitchen is well stocked with everything you would possibly need.
We pulled up to the cabin and were in awe of how perfect it was. The view was beautiful! We were in awe when we opened the door and saw how cute and clean it was. We loved every minute of our stay. 10/10 would book again!
