Chandos Lake is about 1387 hectares with a maximum depth of about 48 meters. 5% of the lake is crown land and the lake is known for good Lake Trout, Northern Pike, and bass fishing. There are three main bays, West Bay, South Bay, and Gilmour’s Bay, and the lake is shaped like a reverse “L”. The original Mississauga Anishinabe name of Chandos was Mongosogan. Chandos is a large lake with approx 1200 cottages, 3 marinas, and a public beach. It is known for its beautiful scenery rocky outcrops and majestic pines.
Other Things to Note:
We kindly request that guests provide their own linens and towels and that at the end of their stay, they take the time to do a thorough cleaning in order to make sure the property is kept to a high standard for the next guests, and to the same condition in which it was found upon your arrival.
We're delighted to welcome children and infants to this cottage, and many happy families have visited! However, we want to stress the vital importance of providing close supervision at all times. It's important to note that while the cottage is child-welcoming, it may not be specifically designed or equipped for your child's individual needs.
