I booked via VRBO, received a confirmation email, my credit card was charged and we thought we were good to go on our vacation and were planning what to do in three lakes. However Vacassa requires you to verify your identity directly with them via a separate process. I missed the email as it came later and they canceled the reservation the next morning. Luckily the room was still available and I rebooked it, but...

"We chose this location because it was central to a couple of paddles that we wanted to do on the Wisconsin River. We were not disappointed. We were able to do a short "warm up" paddle on the lake the day we arrived. In spite of some rain near the conclusion of our first river trip, we had a great time! The accommodations were excellent for our needs; making breakfast in the morning and relaxing after a day on the water. Very clean and everything worked! A great stay all around."

"This place deserves more than 5 stars!!! Sparkling clean, wonderful amenities, towels were 5+ hotel quality and it was all set to welcome us. There were nice bath products for our use. Since the temp was way below zero on our arrival, it was great to have a “warm” welcome. Lights were on and the temp was perfect.
