Nothing beats those sunsets. The kitchen is amazing. We made tiramisu and lasagna with the tools in the kitchen. Near by groceries are epic. Staff was amazing.

It is a beautiful property and there was plenty of space and it was comfortable however most of the furniture was broken it wasn't very clean when checking in it was absolutely riddled with bugs the record player is broken

We stayed in the birdie cabin. The cabin was well stocked and was very comfortable for 5 people. Instruction for the microwave would be helpful. We will definitely be back. Family Christmas.

We loved this little cottage. It was easy to find. Parking was good for cottage #5 (it might be a little tight with larger vehicles at the other cottages). The amenities in the cottage we great. We hope to return again in 2024.

Perfect for us

Really appreciated the contactless check in. We were able to let ourselves in to a very clean and comfortable three bedroom cabin. Only two suggestions. One, provide extra blankets and two, get better window coverings.

Amazing Stay

My family and I had to book The Finch due to a flood in our kitchen. Staying at The Finch was quite perfect. The cottages were clean, stylish and quiet. Laundry machine on site was clutch. Waking up to beautiful sunsets on the water was like a dream. The staff, especially Holly was super responsive and helpful. Although the situation of not being home was terrible, The Finch made up for it :) I would highly recommend and would stay here again in a heartbeat. The Finch is the only place I would rent in North Bay. Hotels don’t even compare.

The cottage my mom and I were in (4) was super cute, cozy and well appointed. The beds were very comfy and overall everything was super clean. Communication from the host provided everything we needed to know to get settled. It was so lovely watching the sunset on the beach and enjoying a fire and some drinks with other guests. A few minor improvements we would suggest: extension cords by the beds as I wasn't able to reach an outlet to charge my phone; a full length mirror outside the bathroom so multiple people can get ready at once; and a bit of a closer look at the towels as we had some light makeup stains on one of ours. Overall though our experience was really great and we definitely would love to stay again!

A true Gem

wonderful cottage and right on the water! We actually booked cottage 3, but were switched to cottage 2 before checkin because the fireplace wasnt working. We absolutely loved the cottage. The owners had lots of nice extras, like the laundry facilities that were stocked with detergents (scented and unscented) and softeners. There were extras in the kitchen like some spices, popcorn and even some pantry staples. The bathroom had lovely, organic and eco friendly soaps. There were games, a record player along with some records, a private and fully fenced patio and an unforgettable view. Will definitely be coming back here the next time we pass through North Bay. The only thing I will say is, if you have a larger vehicle, or more than one car---you would need to park in the hotel across the street. Parking is a wee tight. Other than that--place is a true gem

Adorable, spacious, and conveniently placed

We stayed in the Birdie. Adorable little cabin! Had a 50's vibe with midcentury furniture. The couch and chairs could stand to be more comfortable, as they were definitely made for smaller people. Spouse and I are both shorter than 5'2" (157cm) and everything was perfectly sized for us. Our daughter is almost 5'7" (170cm) and most things were too short/small for her. The fireplace was perfect and really kept the place warm. The beds in the 2 of 3 rooms that we used were really comfortable, with plenty of pillows and clean linens. We did not have a view from the cabin, but we were so close to Lake Nippissing -- maybe 20 steps from door to beach; it was beautiful. Parking on the side of the cabin was sufficient to fit our rented full size SUV. The cabin is not wheelchair accessible, but that was not an issue for us, and the steps are minimal. The tub in the bathroom is a step up and in, the water was nice and hot, with great pressure, and the amenities were nice (and smelled so good!). You can even order home spa amenities to do a little self-pampering in room if you want. The drive to both downtown North Bay and the waterfront was maybe 10 minutes at most, there were grocery, convenience, and pharmacy stores close by, as well as a couple of banks (FYI there is no RBC in the area). Overall, the stay was great and we would definitely go back!

This was our second stay at The Fintch. We really liked the decor and the location. I would suggest that the couches be replaced or repaired. They have seen better days. However the cabin was well supplied and very clean. I recommend a stay at the Fintch!
