The AC was not working in my room. Front desk said they would send someone to look at it. No one showed up. Waited several hours and called back to find out that facilities staff had left and went home. New front desk staff member said they’d try to get us a new room or a fan, and that he would call me back to let me know. No return call was made, no fan, and no room exchange.
The room was hot, humid, and muggy. It was uncomfortable and staff didn’t seem to be concerned at all. Communication and general concern was non-existent.
Called the manager the next morning. He was very apologetic but stated that he couldn’t refund my stay but instead would give me marriott points. Still have not received those!
Highly disappointed in the staff, the zero resolution to malfunctioning air conditioning, and my overall stay here :(
We have stayed here in the past with no issues but will for sure will be staying at a different hotel next time we come to Portsmouth Va.
