A Vacation Under a Thatched Roof at the Historic Frisian House "Antje" on the North Sea Coast
Our thatched Frisian house, Antje (formerly the sexton’s house), built around 1850, welcomes you for a relaxing stay in North Frisia. It is located in the heart of the old village of Deezbüll, right next to the church. We have converted one half of the house into a vacation rental (70 square meters). The first floor features a combined living/dining room, a separate kitchen, and a bathroom with a shower and toilet. The attic has two separate bedrooms for 4 people (one double bed, two single beds). Living area: 70 square meters. An additional travel crib for children is available. The vacation home was classified in October 2025 (3 stars F*** according to the DTV classification). The amenities are complete: Digital cable TV, digital DAB radio with CD player, telephone; Wi-Fi internet access, washer and dryer, hair dryer, dishwasher, refrigerator, electric stove with glass-ceramic cooktop and oven, microwave, coffee maker, toaster, electric kettle, egg cooker, patio furniture, lawn for sunbathing, parking space. It is about one kilometer to the traffic-calmed downtown area of Niebüll, which offers many great shopping options. The station for the narrow-gauge railway to Dagebüll is a five-minute walk away. Our house is located on the outskirts of town; on foot or by bike, you can quickly reach the vast expanse of the North Frisian marsh and polder landscape, which is perfect for long excursions. Niebüll is the main shopping center (numerous supermarkets, stores, and a Saturday farmers’ market) and a convenient starting point for excursions to the nearby North Frisian islands of Amrum and Föhr (Dagebüll ferry terminal, 11 km), as well as to the Halligen and the Wadden Sea National Park (Schlüttsiel ferry terminal, 14 km). Neighboring Denmark, with its charming small towns (Tondern, Mögeltondern, Ribe) and dune-lined coasts (the island of Röm), is only 18 km away. Niebüll has an ICE train station (2.5 hours to Hamburg) and is the second-to-last stop on the mainland before crossing the Hindenburgdamm to Westerland on Sylt. Numerous cultural attractions ensure you’ll never get bored: the Haitzmann Museum, the Frisian and Natural History Museum in Niebüll, the world-famous Nolde Museum in Seebüll (a 15-minute drive away), concerts, theater, movies, and slide shows. Other places worth visiting: Husum (Storm House, castle, Maritime Museum, North Frisia Museum “Nissen House”), Flensburg (museums and the Museum Harbor), Glücksburg Castle with the Förde coast and the Baltic Sea, Tönning, St. Peter-Ording, Westerhever Lighthouse, and the canal town of Friedrichstadt.
This is a smoke-free house. Pets are not allowed inside the house.
