We thoroughly enjoyed our month long stay at House Rose. Jessica was a joy to communicate with before and during our time in Nevis with prompt replies to all of our questions and valuable suggestions for newcomers to the island. The house was perfect for our needs with the three roomy bedrooms and two full bathrooms. We loved that we could control the air conditioning units in each room. So pleasant after a hot afternoon at the beach! The kitchen was well equipped and we enjoyed cooking many of our meals. The front porch is shaded in the morning so it was lovely to start the day there sipping a coffee. The back porch was a perfect place to watch the sunset every evening as supper was cooking. We loved watching the Olympics on her smart tv while we were there. There were lots of towels and linen for our use. It was the kind of house where we felt very much at home. The parade of sheep, goats and chickens was a daily source of entertainment for us! We rented a car for the whole month so that we were able to travel around to all the hidden gems that make Nevis so special. For the size of Nevis, there are some outstanding restaurants worth visiting. The main supermarkets were 20 minutes away in Charlestown although we could buy staples at smaller grocery stores down the road. Our month in Nevis was idyllic and we are very grateful to Jessica for sharing her home with us on VRBO.
