「A very disappointing stay. The location is wonderful on the hill overlooking the coast and harbour but that's the only positive. The large, old hotel has definitely seen better days. It has an obvious neglected, under maintained look and feeling. I'd taken the trouble to pay extra and book a room with a sea view, but we ended up in a small attic room with a tiny corner window through which the harbour could just about be seen. 「Unique and gorgeous hotel in the Irish coast to stay at before catching a ferry to Ireland. We arrived late, so give yourself enough time to have dinner and enjoy the morning. If you’re catching the P&O ferry at 8 AM, you probably need to leave at 6 AM to properly get in the queue, so plan accordingly. It’s a once in a lifetime experience though!」

If you want a new hotel this is not it. You will be disappointed. However, it is quiet, worn but clean, cozy, and very convenient at a very reasonable price.」
