It’s a little outside of Lucerne, so be prepared to have a car specifically for this location. Transportation isn’t nearby or walkable and the Ubers are expensive! Other than that, it was awesome to have free breakfast and a bunch of dining options so close by on the shared property. The room and bathroom were large and clean!

Great and convenient place to overnight on our way to Italy. Comfortable beds, crisp linen, breakfast that offered anything you‘d want including potent coffee. It is literally on the motorway, with easy parking just outside the door. Accessible building and showers. Very clean. Staff was super nice.

Handy hotel directly on the motorway with plenty of parking & large rooms. Well maintained & clean with nice bathroom. Burger king & self service buffet restaurant on site. Very good breakfast with the added bonus that our 2no dogs were allowed at the hotel for an extra cost & nice countryside walks nearby

Liked - Ice machine, polite staff, good central location. Disliked - Room and bathroom too hot in summer, no option for second fan. Housekeeping left door to room wide open for hours with our stuff in the room. Shower wouldnt drain, had tobhave maintenance plung it. Overall - it was ok, but would not stay at again.

Friendly personnel, rooms are okay for passing through on your journey, but that’s about it. No airconditioning present, and albeit Swiss doesn’t have much hot days, they don’t give a discount for inconvenience on the days it is hot. Dinner options are next to none, Burger King and Marche are your only -expensive- options. € 30,- for a menu or € 25,- for a schnitzel with a kids portion fries and no other supplements like veggies. Holiday Inn has no dinner options, breakfast is basic but fine. Beware, Expedia indicaties a 50 Swiss Francs fee for pets, but the hotel charges 65 on the spot.

We are a family of 5 (with teens) and we stayed in the Holiday Inn Express for our stopover on the way to Italy. The hotel was super clean, modern and an easy location for the motorways. It did have food avail for lunch/dinner but we didn't have it so can't comment on the quality of it but did have the continental breakfast which was very good. We would have no hesitation rebooking.

When booked I did not realise that the hotel was in a service station and not where I would normally choose to stay. However, the reception staff really made it a pleasure to stay. Although the services facilities did look that it had good food and drink, we had been driving for 6 hours and wanted to be somewhere quite, the reception girls let us out of the back gate and we drove 10 mi s to the nearest village where we found a lovely wee bistro. The hotel was clean and well maintained and well worth the money.
