「We only spent one night in Nelson but we left wanting to stay longer. Mark and John are terrific hosts and make you feel so welcome, the house and gardens are fantastic both \have some amazing things to discover. Would definitely recommend it to anyone looking to visit Nelson.」

「The hosts and accommodations were lovely. We left early our first morning for a day trip to Abel Tasman and Sally packed us a to go breakfast including homegrown tomatoes from her garden. I think they ordered up sunlight to stream into the breakfast room the next morning so it would shine on the locally grown fresh fruits. Way exceeded expectations. 」

「The property is exceptional! It is beautifully maintained and landscaped. She has a private pond and a gardener who keeps everything so lovely. The rooms are clean and quiet. We loved visiting with other guests in the shared areas. 」

「Wonderful restful lodge across from Motueka River with mountains beyond. Chere Harris is a great host. She fed us great breakfasts and also made a salad and purchased mussels so that we could cook the rest. Couldn't recommend more highly!」

Fabulous fresh breakfast.Nick helped us tour, walking routes and taxis. Had great beer at his pub! Little Thai takeaway near his house had fresh dinners at reasonable price. Had our first NZ pie at downtown bakery.. too good. Nelson will be hard to beat.」

「Excellent accommodation. Very nice host who helps with all your questions and requests, but never pushes you in. Ideal place to unwind or to explore the Abel Tasman NP by rental car. The breakfast is perfect - especially because you are not tied to a specific time in the morning. Thank you for the lovely stay!」

「Lovely warm home, great quality linens etc. The home is a wee bit tired but beautifully presented. The view down to the water across to the ranges is amazing. We sat there in the afternoons into the evening marvelling at the change of colours and light. Well set up. Even has a coffee plunger (that gets a gold star as we do love our plunger coffee).
