"Please let me begin that I have been a Hyatt Rewards member for over two decades. Hyatt Hotels were a go-to”during my business and conference travels. Further, I have stayed at this property a number of times since its opening. I was amazed at the amount of wear and tear at this property. Wood trim on every surface was noticeably scratched, chipped or damaged in some way, the sofa fabric had a tear, etc., making it hard to determine if the facility was clean or not as the air of dinginess was everywhere. I found it hard to believe that the Hyatt brand would allow this type of surfaces that diminished the feel of the property. Otherwise, all seemed orderly, staff were pleasant, everything was operational, breakfast was tasty…but the spaces I accessed had seen far more better days in the past. "

"I loved the pool, It was 8-9 feet. Which is very fun to swim in. The rooms were spacious and everything was neat and comfortable. We didn't really talk with staff but they seemed nice as we were checking-in."

"The breakfast was good. Quite a few options. I did get into pool or hot tub. The room was clean but very small. Nice quiet place wished i had been paying better attention when reserving. I thought i was reserving a suite but i guess i didnt."

"Their breakfast is soooo good! I was really impressed. I thought there might be fruit and bagels, but they had sausage gravy and biscuits, a waffle maker, boiled eggs, fruit, yogurt, oatmeal, juices, milk, coffee! It was fantastic! Plus the price was great. Total BARGAIN and easy to get everywhere in DesMoines. "

"I enjoyed my stay at Hotel Fort Des Moine. The room was lovely - l clean, spacious beautifully appointed with nice details. The bathroom was the same and extremely well lit. The staff could not have been more gracious. A real plus were the dining options. The food was delicious and their hours of operation were terrific for both the early riser and the late diner. This will not be my last stay."
