Spend your vacation across the road from the boardwalk onto RI's best private family beach. Location, location! This home is a recently renovated cottage on Bonnet Point. Enjoy the simple charm of yesteryear combined with modern luxury and the privilege of one of the most enviable locations in Narragansett. The views are great from the deck and the front of the house and the convenience of walking steps to sandy Kelly Beach and back are tantamount to privlidge in every aspect. There is a large, private yard and many areas of quiet retreat to relax in the sun when not on the beach. Sit and watch the sun set brilliantly over the water from your private, front patio or take the family for a walk along the breathtakingly beautiful cliffs of Bonnet Shores and Bonnet Point. No matter what your vacation plans are, you will have the best advantages here in the heart of it all!
The beach is located just steps away from your door and is a private beach for Bonnet residents and renters only. Every morning the sand is combed for your enjoyment and you will experience one of the finest private beaches in New England. Bonnet Shores is the most enchanting beach and boat community in all of South County, Rhode Island. Walk, jog, or bike the 5 kilometer loop through Bonnet past breathtaking views of the beaches. Experience the charm and ambiance as you view the sparkling lights of the Jamestown and Newport Bridges across the water in the evenings. All shopping is located a short drive down 1-A including supermarket and liquorstore, gifts and antiques. There are many fabulous restaurants in the area to choose from offering a full range of cuisine. And the fresh seafood!! The town beaches are located 10 minutes away, and the Narragansett Pier section offers many additional shops and restaurants. Waterfront dining here is in abundance.

We had a great stay at this property! The house was beautifully decorated, beds were comfortable, location was perfect and the house was full of amenities. The views from the porch were amazing and the beach was only a 2 minute walk. Great location to explore local wineries, Newport or other close towns. Highly recommend

Family RI trip

We had a great stay at Kent’s Bonnet Shores home. Kent was very easy to communicate with, and very helpful with local area suggestions. The house was the perfect location, easy access to a great beach and views of ocean and lots of open yard space for my young family to hang out. The house was also clean, well kept and the kitchen had all the necessary supplies. We had a wonderful vacation and would return again!

What a wonderful weekend!

Kent was an amazing host from before we arrived straight through the trip! He was attentive and communicative, making sure we knew of everything we had available to us. The house is comfortable and clean and very well stocked. Bonnet Shores is such a lovely place to visit, and we had such a gorgeous water view especially at sunset! I hope we have a chance to return in the future. I highly recommend visiting Bonnet Shores and staying at Ken’s house!

Good times at Bonnet Shores

Lovely home on Bonnet Point Drive. Owner continues to upgrade his property. This is a Goldilocks home for us; not too big, not too small. It’s just right! The deck on the front of the house offers unobstructed views of the water, and impressive homes across the harbor. We eat most of our meals there! The neighbors are super friendly. If that’s not enough, Brickley’s Ice Cream is just around the corner. Also, It’s a short hop to Galilee for the best seafood in the world!

Fabulous location/beautiful house

This is our second time renting this house. It is a beautiful house with an amazing view that we enjoyed throughout our stay. Being so close to the beach makes is key to having an easy and fun beach vacation. We were very pleased again!

Seaside getaway

Beautifully designed, filled with natural light, and comfortably appointed. The ocean breezes and view from the patio overlooking the water cannot be beat -- a perfect companion for morning coffee or al fresco dining. The provided beach chairs and boogie boards were a welcome addition for the 3 minute walk to the pristine Kelly Beach. The home is great for families, and spacious enough for friends vacationing together. Some minor finishing touches are still in the works, but in no way detract from this restorative seaside getaway! We hope to come back next summer!

Summer Fun on Bonnet Shores

It was simple and straight forward. Did everything on line in VRBO. Richard, property manager, greets us and helps us settle in each summer. The house is perfect for entertaining. Proximity to Kelly Beach is convenient for the young and old alike! The house has clear views of the beach. Residents on Bonnet Shores are so friendly; we love our neighbors! Our summer vacation passes too quickly!

The most beautiful view in a beautiful home!

We needed a little break and happened upon this listing. I'm so glad we did. My husband and I and our three teenage children headed to Bonnet Shores for Memorial Day weekend and were just thrilled with this house. The moment we walked in we were greeted with gorgeous decor and views of the water and Kelly Beach that immediately gave us the sense of relaxation we needed. We spent time on the beach which is just a short walk away, played cards and had dinner on the patio facing the water and enjoyed exploring the area. From my very first question before booking, to our last day, Kent was helpful and attentive. He made the process extremely easy and I would highly recommend this home to anyone wanting a beach vacation without fuss. Thank you Kent (and Richard!). We hope to return :)

Nice quiet weekend at Bonnet Shores

We had a great time in this cottage. The place is nicely renovated and in a nice quiet neighborhood. We enjoyed the easy walk down to Kelly Beach and it was a great home base to explore Narraganset, Point Judith, Wickford Village and Portsmouth. The beds are comfortable. There are plenty of towels, paper products, soap etc at the house. Just pack your suit case and you’ll have everything you need. Can’t wait to return!

Breathtaking

From the time I got to the property to the time I left could not stop smiling , And adorable home with great views in a breathtaking pristine neighborhood , a wonder Five minute walk to the beach passing by the most beautiful homes in a very friendly clean upscale neighborhood. Upon arriving to Kelly beach all I can say is oh my God. Probably the nicest beach I’ve ever seen in The north east ! N the views wow!

Five Minute Walk to the private Beach. Love front deck facing ocean. Very friendly neighbors!

Great beach for families with young children! Have been vacationing in this home for several years. The owner continues to upgrade his home. Love the new kitchen with all new appliances, cabinets, and floors. Would appreciate mirrors and lamps in all the bedrooms and additional lamps in living room. We’re a family of readers! Other than that we love the layout and location. of the house.

Bonnet Shores Vacation

Beautiful location and view. 272 Bonnet Point Road has unobstructed views of the water and access to Kelly Beach, a private neighborhood beach that is ideal for families with children. Bonnet Shores is protected by land on three sides; waves are gentle; beach is cleaned each morning; and sand is soft (not rocky). The house is open concept and nice for entertaining. I do have change recommendations - some easy to deliver and a few rather expensive fixes but, at this price point, is expected by renters like me. A total kitchen redo Is needed. The appliances work but are ancient. Kitchen utensils, pots & pans, cooking equipment (bowls, simple tools, a few baking pans) need to be added or updated. The cabinets need a good cleaning. Food left by other renters should be tossed out -especially during the Covid pandemic- so that new renters have room and clean storage for their food. Casement Windows and doors need replacement - especially the cranks that operate the windows. Overlooking the above deficiencies, I would return to this location again.

another blissful beach week

Immacutely designed with an abundance of space for everyone to spread out, read, play games, relax. The water view down onto Kelly Beach is intoxicating, and the house is well appointed with beach gear -- boogie boards, chairs, beach towels, etc. Stylish and super comfortable without being fussy. Sure, there's no overhead lighting in the main space and the kitchen is a little idiosyncratic, but it's nothing that's not par for the course with any vacation rental. And to Kent's credit, any hiccups we encountered (e.g. the grill was out of propane) were dealt with graciously and immediately. In 2019 we vowed a return in 2020, and we've already booked for 2021 ... say no more. We hope to come back next summer!

A lovely place

This house was perfect for a long-awaited family get-together. Check-in was easy. The place was spotless, spacious, and very well appointed. The house has a gorgeous view of the bay and it was an easy walk down the hill to the beach, even with an almost-two year old (who also enjoyed the big backyard.) Hope to stay here again next summer!
