Just a 10 minute stroll down Main St turn right onto the quiet, private dead end Lowell Place to your charming cottage nestled into the Historic District with HUGE back yard, patio, gas grill, and all the amenities necessary for a long weekend or the entire Summer! Plenty of parking and pet friendly as well!
If you are looking for quiet and privacy, lots of space and parking but still in the heart of the downtown historic area then look no more. The featured cottage is next door to our additional two bedroom listing, 8 Lowell Place-perfect family compound opportunity to share a HUGE property with Mom & Dad or in-laws or a couples retreat. Also lends itself beautifully to a celebration or wedding venue with plenty of room to entertain under a large tent. 10 minute walk down historic cobbled Main Street amongst the gorgeous Whaling Mansions to shops, harbor and delectable restaurants. Great location in walking distance to town, yet in a quiet, relaxing area with a spacious yard shared with another cottage. Nice patio area to enjoy dining al fresco! The cottage was comfortable, cozy and clean. It was a nice getaway!

Wonderful home

Excellent proximity to town (10 minute walk) and the rest of the island. The home provided everything we needed for our dog and children (ages 9 & 11). Thank you for a great week!

Perfect in town cottage

We stayed at this delightful cottage with enormous outdoor space for a family wedding weekend. It was perfect for my teenage son, adult step-son and his wife, husband and me. It is appx a 20 minute walk to town. I highly recommend this cottage. We'd be very happy to stay there again!

Nantucket Town - Great Location

This home has an amazing location (right off upper Main Street) with a 10 min walk to town. The host was very accommodating and made the check in process easy for me and answered all my inquiries. I fully recommend if you want a nice place close to town.

Cozy beach cottage

This house is exactly as described, a cozy cottage designed for groups. It’s got an antique feel with all basic comforts needed. The space is good for large groups, the outdoor space was great and the yard and grill were perfect to use. Ample towels, beach chairs provided. The solo stove in the back yard was a great touch, as well as the outdoor shower. Beds were all comfortable. ACs worked great to keep house cool during hot September days. Deirdre was very responive and easy to communicate with. No elaborate check out or check in process. Simply a great place to stay if you want easy simple comfort on the island. Note, if you’re looking for modern luxury this isn’t the rental for you.

Incredible location!

This was a lovely house just steps from downtown Nantucket- such a fantastic location just steps/ a quick bike ride from everything, but quiet and private. The house was comfortable and had everything we needed. Just note that the bathroom setup may be a little unusual if you're more than two adults, so review room setup carefully, but we made it work and were very happy.

R&R on Nantucket

Great property on Nantucket. Convenient location. Deirdre, the owner, was top notch in communicating and responding. We had a family gathering and the cottage was exactly what we needed.

Had a lovely week

Overall good experience. The check-in and out process was very simple. We had to clean the outside shower of leafs and old razor blades and had to go in basement to turn water on. Some of the windows don’t open and the the outside patio space is shared which isn’t clear on the listing. Fire pit and Adirondack chairs are great. Best location in town but had big yard.

Perfect location, yard, host, everything!

We had such a great time at Dierde’s home. I came with friends for the 4th of July and Dierdre was so accommodating with our travel schedule and very quick to respond! This home is so close to Main St - we were able to walk to and from and bike all around so conveniently. Thanks so much!

Amazing Nantucket stay!

Stop Drop Book

I can’t say enough about the place, and the owners. If the dates are available, stop looking and book. Likely the nicest VRBO Owners I have come across. In its current state, the place may not hit the pages of Architectural Digest, but if you want a cozy Old School Nantucket cottage, pick this place. I truly hope we get to return. Thanks for an amazing pre-Christmas Holiday!

Family Fortune

We were lucky enough to stay at this home for our family vacation. The place was a nice size, accurately described and comfortable. Deidre was also helpful when we had a question, which we appreciated. We walked into town, biked to the beaches by and barbecued at night. All in all a great time.
