Unique hidden gem! Love the outdoor space and how easy it is to be there when travelling with children. It’s not fancy, but it’s cozy and comfortable. A very sweet home away from home. Tip for travellers: Bring a battery powered lantern to act as a reading lamp in second bedroom.
The place was very clean. Enjoyed the quiet mornings with the sounds of the birds. The feeling of being with nature but just a short drive to the attractions like the Falls, beach, and Combs market. Would come back.
I went there with friends and family. Clear and effective communication with Host. I would definitely recommend if you’re looking for quite place to stay.
Beautiful property, really wish we had more time to enjoy it! Very comfortable beds. Love the proximity to the park and Saturday market. Errington is an adorable community.
Hollie hosts a lovely, peaceful property in Errington. Set in rural area yet only minutes down road is main highway where you easily reach Parksville and ocean or Coombs in other direction.
Friendly host, easy check-in, comfortable
Property was grand and was just as the ad described. Everything was clean and it had everything we needed.
We were pleasantly surprised to find out the playground was directly across the street which was fantastic while travelling with littles.
Would not hesitate to stay here again.
We stayed here for 3days/2nights, 2 adults and 2 kids under 7. It was a wonderful little place with all the amenities and a spacious fenced in yard with fire pit. There was a large playground right across the street and we were 5 mins drive from Goats on the Roof and other local attractions. This was our second time staying in Parksville and this cozy cottage really made it a great stay. Thanks very much!
Fenced yard, with a fantastic playground across the quiet country road. 2 minutes to a convenience store. 20 minutes from beaches and shopping in Parksville, 10 minutes to Coombs. Quiet at night, comfortable beds. Clean. Toys and books for kids, responsive helpful host. Needs more cutlery.
Amazing hidden gem in Errington. Very comfortable and spacious for our little family (including a 5-yr-old and 13-month-old). The playground across the street was really fun, and had lots of shade in the morning and afternoon/evening. The home was comfortable even in the hot weather thanks to fans in every room and a small air conditioner in the kitchen. Nicely appointed without being precious, so we didn’t have to tiptoe around. There were even nightlights and a couple baby-proofing items. Wonderful stay. We have already booked another stay. Thank you Hollie!

In the process of being a great Gem
Hollie was very lovely to deal with and tried to address any concerns we had promptly and to an acceptable resolution. Hollie was having to use a new cleaner and we feel this will need to be followed closely for a while to ensure the standards we would have liked. A quiet place that still needs some updates to make it the gem it could be. Bed/mattresses are new and comfy.
I’ll start by saying that the apartment was immaculately clean. I really appreciate the no frills/down to earth approach. I’ve largely avoided these types of rentals in favour of hotels in recent years given the long lists of fussy rules some owners have that make the stay feel like an imposition rather than a business transaction. The only things in Hollie’s binder relate to water usage (don’t waste it and don’t back up the sewer lines). Pretty basic stuff. Nothing unreasonable and I felt completely at ease staying there with my young children. The beds and couch were all very comfortable. Highly recommend this spot for a reasonably priced option. Also the playground across the street was top notch.
While there were fans in every room they were not enough to cool it off for sleeping. Our hostess was very helpful with useful information and it is right across from a park where the farmer’s market was held.
We left after one night because we could not sleep in the small bedrooms that remained very warm throughout the night. Also, the area was in a level four drought watch so we were discouraged from flushing toilet paper or taking showers. Because of the drought, there was no water in the creeks and no trout fishing.
Would recommend this place in cooler weather with no drought.
