Wir waren zwecks Familienbesuch nun das dritte Jahr in Folge in diesem Hotel und am ersten Eindruck hat sich nichts geändert: Lage und Service sind top, aber der Zustand wird aufgrund der bescheidenen Bausubstanz leider nicht besser. Dabei wäre schon mit kleinen Maßnahmen große Wirkung zu erzielen: Hier und da ein paar Striemen an den Wänden übermalen, Silikonfugen im Bad austauschen usw. Auch für den Austausch von Handtüchern und Bettwäsche wäre es höchste Zeit - denn die sind mittlerweile eher grau als weiß. Mit der Sauberkeit waren wir dieses Jahr erstmals nicht zufrieden, vor allem im Kleiderschrank und im Schrank unter dem Waschbecken war es echt dreckig. Nicht zuletzt mangels Alternativen werden wir dieses Hotel aber wohl trotzdem wieder buchen, zumal bereits mit ersten Renovierungsmaßnahmen begonnen wurde und wir hoffen, dass es damit wieder bergauf geht.

No Second Time
I will start with - PROS: Very good and satisfactory service from Joanne, front desk staff, restaurant staff, security, concierge and shuttle driver. Room was spacious and the location was central to everything. CONS: Breakfast was mediocre, lack in variety and repeatitive and no western food selection. Room cleanliness - not properly cleaned. I don't like the idea of itemising what I needed done in the room on a daily basis. Although, after 2 days, I was finally given a door sign, the bathroom toiletries, toilet paper, towels and mats were changed/replenished and bins emptied. But, not once was the bathroom floor mopped, dirt/mold growing in the bathroom tiles grout, nor the toilet cleaned in the time of my stay. Dirt from under the bed and chaise lounge and dust from the previous occupants were noticeable on the countertop, desk, bedside and fridge that showed smudges and residue marks. Doors are paper-thin and any sounds from people talking in the hallway to children screaming and rooms being serviced with the doors being shut loudly were unacceptable. Quilts should be shaken to stop it from bunching, which were never done. OJT should be trained and shown the correct and proper way of maintaining hotel rooms. Last, but not the least, the so-called free-wifi is almost not accessible/very-very slow in the room. I expected better from The Carmen Hotel from the hotel reviews and I believed that it all comes down to management.

Room for Improvement
We complained about a choked shower drain on our first day but nobody came to check. When we arrived late in the evening, we found out that the room was not made up and the drain was still choked. I have to personally report our concern to the lobby staff. The restaurant staff was slow in refilling food during breakfast.

International standard
Stayed with my friends for a night and we had so much fun. The pool is quite small but it's very accommodating to ease the hot weather. Breakfast is served with classic Filipino dishes. The staff are very friendly and welcoming. Will definitely recommend this hotel to those who can go over the budget.

Excellent facility but needs attention in details
The hotel is brand new however my room looked unfinished with caulking and paint smudged like the worker forgot to clean up after he’s done, there are scratches on the counter doors and cabinets that distract from the perfection of a new and beautiful hotel and the door location of the closet is blocked by the bed, also poor communication of timely information by unfailingly polite and charming staff but fails to deliver efficient service

Nice boutique hotel approximately in the middle of Naga City. The in house restaurant Baba’s is excellent featuring Bicol dishes for a reasonable price. Staff in every department was outstanding. Stayed ten days. I wish I would have checked in a couple weeks earlier.

Last year stay was better than this time around , i have to wait an hour to get check in on my first day and i have call to everyday to for housekeeping becouse my room does not have the sign if you want housekeeping or not, i ask twice to front desk about it and still did not give it. There was almost everyday unnecessary knocking of my door either another guest mistaken of my room or a service that i did not call for and for my whole stay there i never got the do not disturb sign that i ask twice.

I’d stay again
The hotel staff was fantastic. They really put forth an effort. It wasn’t as clean as I expect and the bathroom toilet water line leaked, so had to keep turning off and on. The breakfast was worth the price. The pool area was also very nice. Exercise equipment had some issues and I ended up jogging outside.

We normally stay at APH nearby, so this was my first stay since traveling to the P.I. ever since 2007. I was most happy with our stay, from A-Z! Great English speaking staff! Good breakfast. Huge swimming pool. Many security guards for safety! Near many great restaurants and music bars! Quite and Safe! (The suites are very large with nice volcano mountain view!) I have traveled to some 26 different countries, and counting...so my opinion is that the value for your money, and your time spent, is well worth it. Enjoy the ride! Amazing Stay in Carmen Hotel
The hotel staff are very accomodating. We enjoyed our stay in this hotel.The hotel is clean and location is ok, very near the Naga Metropolitan Cathedral & the Naga Public Market.

Wir waren schon im November 2017 in diesem Hotel und damals sehr angetan, weil dieses für philippinische Verhältnisse (außerhalb Manilas) einen wirklich guten Standard anbietet. Allerdings war da schon zu erkennen, dass es schwierig wird, diesen Standard zu halten, weil die Ausstattung qualitativ zum Teil nicht für die Hotelnutzung gedacht ist. Die Amaturen im Bad zum Beispiel sind billigste Ware und sehen dementsprechend schon nach wenigen Jahren ganz schön ramponiert aus. Auch an Möbeln, Bettwäsche und den mittlerweile eher grauen als weißen Handtüchern ist der Verschleiß nicht zu übersehen. Und mit der Sauberkeit waren wir diesmal (im Oktober 2018) auch nicht mehr ganz glücklich. Die Schränke waren innen schmutzig und gerade im Bad müssten die großen Flächen mal gründlich gereinigt werden. Der Service, die Freundlichkeit des Personals und die Lage des Hotels sind dennoch nach wie vor top, weshalb wir es - auch mangels besserer Alternativen in Naga - wohl erneut buchen würden.

Carmen Hotel is a caring hotel.
The hotel is at a good location with friendly staff's, service was good just that the hotel is at the main street and the traffic noise is kind of bad. Carmen Hotel is value for money overall it's a good hotel to stay but do not expect much on breakfast.

4 days of rest
I was a comfortable stay in a provincial hotel that is of better than expected for the area. The staff are great and helpful and polite and the facilities are adequate.

Night before Penafrancia
This is a great hotel. Very well managed, clean, great dining room and the service was second to none. We chose this hotel because of its location to the Penafrancia Festival. But it is in a great part of town anyway and would recommend regardless. The pool is great too.

Hotel rooms and interior looks old and need maintenance or upgrade. Our room smell not so fresh.... smell cigarrete.
