Museum of Torture

The hotel is located two minutes from tram stop 1 which can take you close into the city centre and about 10 minutes walking from tram stop 2 which could take you directly to the airport. My room was clean and very spacious with plenty of storage space, lots of hangers & a very clean & modern bathroom. There’s a safe and a mini fridge with two complementary bottles of water. There’s also a kettle to make coffee/tea but flimsy paper cups not reusable/ceramic mugs. The bed is relatively comfortable, although I personally found the sheets, a little too rough and scratchy. The only downside was the room temperature. Florence was 25 Celsius and the heating was on in every room. I did ask on my 2nd night for the heating to be turned off, but then it became stuffy as there’s no other ventilation, so I had to leave the window open all night. Which also means you hear the constant outside traffic. Breakfast was decent, just eggs, cereal, yogurt and lots of cakes and pastries. I did find all the staff very friendly and helpful especially at reception and in the breakfast section.

The rooms were spacious and comfortable. The beds were firm but comfortable. The staff were friendly and helpful.

The hotel is very nice, spacious, and the breakfast is delicious. They also have a small but efficient gym. On the first day, we found out that the air conditioning was not available, so the room was extremely hot, and they did not have portable fans. From our understanding, this was due to government regulations. The next day, they transferred us to a larger room where the sun did not hit directly, which made a big difference. The staff was very helpful throughout our stay, and the location was excellent.
