"The check in process was awful. We arrived within the check in times and he wasn't there. After waiting, he turned up and there was no greeting. He showed us around the property & how to turn on the TV like we're stupid. We had no privacy, he kept coming into the accommodation uninvited to check things. When we got back from a day out we found him in the property and he accused us of having the heating on,when we hadn't touched the heating as it was already hot weather. He planted items in the freezer as an excuse to come into the property, stating that he 'forgot' he left it in the freezer. When we arrived there wasn't anything in it. We had contacted the agency to complain and they got in touch with him. He subsequently emailed us and said he would not go into the property uninvited, however he still entered the property when we were out. On the day of leaving he went through everything to see if we had broken anything - checked the lights, turned on the tv's, went through all cupboards in the kitchen and even looked out the window to see if we had thrown rubbish out there! We have never felt so insulted, he treated us like we were scum despite knowing nothing about us. We remained respectful at all times, ensuring that we didn't disturb him. It also states it has a garden you can use but this is on his side of the property outside his bedroom so it's not appropriate and you feel like you're intruding. This whole experience ruined our stay in the Netherlands. "
