The room was clean, fairly small, the bed fairly comfortable, nice view over the river and the marina. The staff helpful. Good choice for breakfast. I did feel the hotel was more a 3-star level rather than a 4 star. No bar onsite.

The outside of the hotel is filthy. It smells of urine and is not the best of neighborhoods. I guess there is not much that Novotel there can do about it, but the construction work, the porta potties, the stench are a downer.
Breakfast is nothing great. They feed you the same stuff everyday. And its a limited menu.

Very convenient location for Olympic Aquatics Centre (also Stade de France). The staff were very friendly and super helpful. Room was spotless and very comfortable. Good breakfast included. I would definitely stay again.

"Lovely spot, staff excellent, homemade, organic and locally sourced breakfast. Lacked an evening restaurant and options in Chinon in October were a little limited as off season. Great location to explore Chinon wines and Cremant near Saumur. Fontevraud-l’Abbaye was an interesting place to visit."
