The Neighborhood:
Amenities: As mentioned there is private Inlet Pointe Residents beach access across the street with a proprietary access sidewalk in between Compass Rose and Waterford condos. There is also a private pool for the residents in between the 2nd and 3rd buildings within the gated community, with laundry facilities and restrooms in the pool house. There is a private dock behind the pool perfect for excellent fishing or enjoying a beverage for a most beautiful sunset. There is a down ramp from the dock to the marsh which is walkable at low tide - you may want proper marsh shoes for this - flip flops are not reliable on this shell and pluff mud terrain. There are charcoal grills and picnic tables for community use next to each of the buildings as well. Just a short walk north is The Gulfstream Cafe for a lovely date night dinner. It boasts the best sunset on the Grand Strand. In the same lot is Marlin Quay Marina (with store) and The Quay Bar and Grill which has just been rebuilt. The Marina store is a great nearby amenity for very basic grocery needs (beer, ice, snacks/sundries, bait, etc). There are also overnight/weekly/monthly boat slip rentals and a filling station for boats as well. Fishing charters are available for hire here and the local fishing staff is some of the best in the area. The bar and grill provides another lovely dining experience within walking distance. The views are outstanding and there is live music available as well as fresh local catch on the menu. Local fishing comes in here every evening so it's often a matter of hours from the dock to the table. Just accross the inlet, The Marshwalk on the Murrell's Inlet side is a great place for an array of restaurants and live entertainment in the evenings as well. 2 miles north is the Garden City Pier with live music, bar, fishing and arcades.
