「A friendly, family run inn. Very typical of old Maine style with cute wallpaper, wood floors, and old Maine charm. If you are looking for modern luxury this isn’t for you. However, if you want a lovely inn with a ton of charm and a great price on the island, then you won’t find better than the Harbourside. The bedroom was big with a very comfortable bed and lovely bed linens. It’s an easy walk to Northeast Harbor with excellent shopping and restaurants.」

Location was great for us because we like quiet but still close enough for us to get to Acadia and town. 「Normally my wife and I are not big bed and breakfast people. However, Harbour Cottage had some of the best reviews in the Acadia National Park area. We gave it a try and we are so glad we did. The Inn Keeper, Arlo, was very helpful with advice on trails. The Owner, Don, was friendly and helpful with tour and restaurant recommendations.
