Great hotel! Valet is horrible. It’s not the hotel’s fault. They are separate services from the hotel. I would recommend this location.

The facility is clean and well appointed. The problems I ran into were varied. First, I did not know that this hotel also doubles as a dorm for Alabama State college students. My first night, the police had to be called in the middle of the night because of college students fighting. Not good. My third night, I arrived to the hotel after working a late night shift, only to be told that I couldn't park on the street in the free parking as the city was going to start repaving in the morning. I had 8 hours notice and the only solution the hotel offered was to pay $30 a night for valet . . . which parked in an open unsecured lot next to the same road I was parking on. That was not a good solution. And when I checked out this morning, the system was down so they couldn't check me out and hand me a copy of my bill. So, this is a new hotel but there are some major things that need to be fixed. I'm coming back next week and don't want to go through this again.

First, the breakfast is absolutely nothing special. A stale slab of eggs and not much else, and the parking option is a scam. You can park for free across the street, and if you choose the hotel parking, nobody is there to get your car until 06:00, which is not conducive to early flights. Finally, the area obviously has some safety issues. A security guard has to sit out in a chair on our floor the entire night.

The concierge parking doesn’t accommodate early flights. The earliest you can get your car is 6:00 am, and the attendant was very rude whenever I requested my car the night before because I didn’t want to risk being late for my flight. It’s much better to use the free parking across the street. Also, the safety level in the area was so degraded that it required a security guard to sit in a chair on each level and watch the floor.

Hotel manifestement tout neuf, la chambre et la salle de bains étaient très propres,le lit confortable, il y avait aussi une cuisine pour se faire réchauffer quelque chose. Wifi de qualité. Petit déjeuner gratuit avec pas mal de choix. C'est le premier hôtel où nous voyons de vrais gestes de développement durable : très peu de plastique, possibilité de trier les papiers. Il est dommage qu'en étant neuf, il manque encore d'un peu d'insonorisation : on entend un peu l'extérieur. Il y a un restaurant mexicain en face, sinon, on peut aller downtown (il y a un très bon thai). Le jour où nous y étions, il était possible de se garer dans la rue, en face de l'hôtel, sans utiliser le voiturier. Le seul petit problème a eu lieu au checkin. Hotels.com n'avait pas transmis nos coordonnées à l'hôtel (comme souvent) et manifestement, ils avaient des soucis pour entrer une adresse française dans leur système. mais ça s'est résolu.
