Very worthwhile to take guided hike. Our guide Felix was so knowledgeable, friendly, determined to keep it interesting! We saw Quetzal and pit viper.

Do at least the guided night tour to get some expert understanding of where and how to look for the animals hidden in plain sight. We learned so much from our night guide in just 2 hours. We would have missed everything without him.

Really lovely nature walk, I recommend it. Whilst some could say it's just tramping through the forest, its really a reminder of what nature can do when left unchecked.... the way the world should be.

February 2019. Heavy mist in the morning at Santa Elena. Made for an enchanting walk through the 4.8km trail. No sight of wildlife apart from birds, but may have had better luck with a guide.
