「Great and helpful staff, really good beers and food, air con in the bar area which was fantastic after a hot day hiking. Superb location for Moel Siabod. A few teething problems as we attended after a revamp, staff were very keen to help attend to these. Only improvement is the quality of the packed lunches, which were a little uninspiring for £12.50!」

「Simply beautiful, staff could not do enough to help, check in was easy and quick. Stunning location and a small village a short stroll away. Room was clean and adequate with all tea and coffee making facilities. Breakfast is continental with other options available to purchase. We had a full Welsh breakfast and avocado on toast and it was amazing. All topped off with stunning views would definitely recommend and visit again.」

「I really enjoyed my one night stay at Y Pengwern. The bar was friendly when we checked in, and when I was shown my room was amazed at how big it was. I was backpacking and there was plenty of room to reorganise my kit, and the bed was large and very comfortable. After a long day's walk we were looking forward to food, and were very happy with the big hearty meals we had in the restaurant. Breakfast was continental (although you could pay to have a cooked breakfast) but the continental on...

「This was a stay mainly to see the area not to use the facilities but the gym looked good . I wanted to use the pool one evening but it was closed at 6 when i went so beware of that . Food was great and good value . Breakfast was excellent with a good choice . Excellent room for wheelchair users which my wife is . Brilliant wet room and excellent all round . Parking good also .」

「Room was clean but stuffy due to heat, even with window open. A fan would have helped, and enabled closing the window to cut late night noise from outside. Staff were good and food was good. They were happy to allow me to leave my car on the hotel car park after checkout so we could go out for te mornimg」
