We had an incredibly disappointing and stressful experience with Platinum Vacations, and unfortunately cannot recommend booking with them.We discovered bed bugs in the bedroom—a serious and disturbing issue. We were traveling with a baby, which made this situation even more upsetting and difficult to manage. The bites were painful and unpleasant, and weeks later, I’m still dealing with the effects of the bites I received during that stay.To their credit, the property manager responded quickly and moved us to another unit. However, having to pack everything up and move with an infant was incredibly inconvenient and stressful—especially since we were only just settling in. Unfortunately, the second unit had a broken air conditioning system, and once again, we were offered another move. At that point, we decided to leave altogether and booked a hotel at our own expense.Only after all of this—bed bugs, multiple moves, and no working AC—was a refund offered.While the manager communicated professionally, the situation was unacceptable. Bed bugs should never be an issue in a professionally managed vacation rental. The lack of proper inspection, the poor condition of the second unit, and the overall disruption to our trip were incredibly frustrating.We will not be booking with Platinum Vacations again.
