Room was updated and really nice; location was good very walkable and near many shops and restaurants. A couple of issues: shower initially drained very slowly but staff addressed it immediately and was no longer an problem, also the ice machine was in another building. Overall, a good stay with attentive staff.

The hotel entrance is hard to find and resembles an alley way with a trash can/dumpster. The receptionist is hidden behind a computer monitor and not a very welcoming reception or entrance. The rooms are large and the location is excellent with stores, the beach and eateries close by. The elevator and corridors are dated and worn and the door handles are loose which is unnerving as a female solo traveler. I requested to be moved from my original room with a balcony due to having bugs I'm my room and crawling on my bed, apparently from the trees. The staff were accommodating with this and my 2nd room was nice (and bug free). It wasn't a horrible stay but it's not a place I would return to or recommend to friends, there are many options in the immediate area.

Very nice staff and good location. That said, my room was in need of an update, and there was quite a bit of street noise, as all rooms face 17th street. If you’re not a light sleeper and you don’t mind a room that shows its age, a fine place to stay.
