"Staff was very accommodating. Garage was a bit far away and difficult to use because of their request that hotel guests park on the upper floors. We enjoyed our large room. Restaurant dinner was well presented but was not up to the quality of the hotel. "

"We came to the area for a tournament and this was our home base for the week—-warm, homey and a great retreat from the gym. We mostly had breakfasts there and then late night snacks. The beautiful country drive to both Topeka and Lawrence was easy. We appreciated the quiet area! "

"This is the perfect place to get away from the hustle of every day life and enjoy some peace and quiet. It's like very high end camping. We saw deer in the yard on 2 different occasions and there is lots of room outdoors for children to ride bikes and play outdoor games. The swingset was a hit with our toddlers and babies and the trails were enjoyed by the teens. We enjoyed the spacious porches, beautifully decorated house and all the thoughtful amenities the host prepared for us. We didn't mind the gentleman in the basement at all. I only hope we weren't too noisy for him. The worst part about our stay here was that it was too short. You will not regret booking this place especially if they replace the firm mattresses with some that are a bit more comfy....unless of course, you like very firm mattresses. "
