The pictures on VRBO are great, but being on the patio overlooking Capri, Ischia and Vesuvius is fantastic. Pictures do not usually convey sound,. Overlooking the water you will see and hear, in a good way, many boats going to Capri and other ports, and to the Amalfi Coast in the morning and returning in the afternoon. it is a joy to watch.
Nello, the owner of the villa, is respectful of your needs and responds promptly if you need something. There was an issue with an air conditioning unit, and once I reached out to Nello it was resolved.
The home is built on a hillside, as most of the coast is hillside cascading down to the sea. Thus is is multi leveled, I think about 7 levels all together, from pool up to the top floor. We were renting the three level unit below a rented space above us. There were small groups of people above us but we never heard them and saw one group of 3 by the pool one day. It was never a bother for our group of 8 adults who were in 5 bedrooms in the house.
There are plenty of cups, dishes, cutlery, pots and pans although some of the posts and pans have lime deposits in the bottom of them due to lime in the water. I think that is just part of being on the coast using the water supplied by the village of Massa Lubrense, which is a quiet village with an excellent bakery with gelato, and an excellent restaurant overlooking the sea, il Cantucci.
We used Roberta Persico car service which Nello, the owner of the villa, recommended and their service was absolutely reliable,, on time, safe, cheerful, helpful, and friendly.
