Nice little cabin in a quiet spot. Other than an issue with heat we enjoyed our stay. The heater had some issues with keeping it warm inside, but it never got much over 60 outside during our stay so that's understandable with the ductless mini split units. There were enough blankets that we stayed warm at night. Would likely book again if staying in the area.
Had a lot of fun property was clean and cute. We came in on a five hour trip on motorcycles and I let them know we were going to be late so they went ahead and turned on the AC and had everything nice and cool for us talk about customer service

Rustic Cabin
Nice setting in the woods and near a creek that passed through the property. We arrived late but the owner was very accommodating. It is rustic with no TV but plenty of room for the three of us for the weekend. My only compliant was that the fan needed to be balanced and the chain made noise.
Check in and out was a breeze. Property Manager promptly returned all calls and answered all questions. The cabin was clean and well cared for. The little christmas tree and decorations on the front porch was a nice touch.
Experience was more rustic than expected. I did not convey clearly enough to my wife the lack of internet connection or TV. She was not a happy camper.
Such a unique peaceful getaway! Loved the creek. Charming and restful.

I was very happy and blessed with my visit.
The cabin was all I needed for my short trip. I would have liked to have had a little more counter space in the kitchen area. Perhaps there is another cottage in that group that has a bit larger kitchen area?
Thank you,
Bill Pierce

Good place, great possibilities
The cabin is quaint, it's got a lot of shade in the area and it's on the river. The woman who runs the place, Juliette, is easily reachable by phone if you need anything.
I would stay there again.
My only critiques are:
The amenities are outdated.
The mini-fridge is old and outdated (old metal fridge), the electric burners don't heat up very well (we were never able to heat up our chili) and the hot water isn't very hot, so much so that you can solely turn on the hot water to take a shower. Which is really just a setting on the water heater so I'm sure if you asked they'd turn up the temperature on the water.
The parking is very limited. You have what equates to one parking space per cabin and if you have 2 vehicles, you either have to squeeze them in to the parking area or park one on a lower section. There is no covered parking and you're under the trees. We had a storm blow through and a limb was blown down and shattered the back window of our car but everywhere you park is under trees. Just don't park under dead tree limbs. We didn't check overhead when we parked.
The good:
The bed was comfortable. The place was peaceful. There are activities including canoe rental right on the river. It is only 3 miles south of Marble Falls so there is shopping and great dining nearby. You are about 12 miles north of Balcones Canyonlands NWR so you can spend the day hiking and nature watching.
